Ordered a stick of ram 8GB DDR4-2666 laptop ram online. Received a stick of DDR4 DESKTOP RAM in the post placed in bubble wrap as if they were shipping me out a mobile phone. Turned up to the shop thinking a refund would be quick. Then was made to wait almost two hours for the refund while they investigated if it was me that switched out the laptop module for a desktop one or if whoever picked and packed it had bagged up the wrong item. I hadnt even opened the bag to inspect what I had bought. I knew exactly what i was looking at, it wasnt what i ordered and I put it straight back in the box it arrived in without needing to inspect it further.

Member of staff sent an email to the branch or warehouse that had bagged and packed the item, told me they had to wait for the them to investigate and respond before they could process the refund. Told me it could be 15-30mins wait. I was fine with that.

After an hour I asked how much longer, they said they didnt know and it could even be TOMORROW before they respond. I cannot explain how infuriating it is for me as a customer who had done nothing wrong be made to wait till tomorrow to process a refund of only PS9. You have phones in store that sell for PS1000. Im not trying to get a refund on a PS1000 phone.

Almost TWO HOURS later and still no refund… TWO HOURS for a PS9 refund. Quibbling over PS6 stick of ram like CeX is going to go out of business if you refund me.

I come back in the store after waiting two hours and speak to who I assume is a manager or supervisor thinking im going to pick up my stuff and come back tomorrow and carry on the fight but the manager said “I’ll process your refund. I’ll sort it out…”

There were multiple things i could have bought from the store during my visit. I still needed DDR4 laptop ram and you had one in stock but I’d rather go buy off amazon for 2-3x the price then buy something from you clowns.

You guys have lost me as a customer.

Bubble wrapping RAM like that is one reason alone for me not to buy anything online from CeX ever again never mind the abysmal instore experience of trying to get a PS9 refund.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with this second-hand electronics store. After purchasing a tablet that turned out to be faulty within 8 days, I approached them to either exchange it for a higher-spec model by paying the difference or get a refund. However, they were reluctant to accommodate my request and offered to buy back the defective tablet for a mere PS7 less than what I originally paid. Furthermore, they made me wait for an additional 2 days just to test the tablet I brought back, displaying a lack of urgency and customer service. The staff’s unhelpful demeanor and unwillingness to empathize with my situation only exacerbated the frustration. Overall, I would caution others against patronizing this store due to their poor quality products and unsatisfactory customer service.

I sold a phone online in this store. I supposedly asked them to put it in my account. I waited a day to see if I received the money. They sent me a confirmation that they had supposedly transferred the money. When I look at my account, there is no money. I wait until After a while, I didn’t look at the CEX account that was supposed to have entered my data, there was another account number and sort code that is not mine nor do I recognize since I do not have any account number with this information and I still did not receive a response from them here. They have transferred my money
