Blatantly racist or prejudice staff inside. I turned up with my devices to trade in on 04/09/23 (same devices as I have brought into store without any issues prior), they declined my devices on the assumption I’d stolen the devices because I sold them using the same account on another date. I came back with proof of purchase on 05/09/23, they went onto say further conditions for successful trade in, which is neither in their policy or product requirements. Bearing in mind, I have traded in the same devices on multiple occasions to multiple branches, including this one over the years. Staff were quite rude and seemed to build a stereotype of me as I walked in the door. Continued to refuse me basic service based on prior assumptions, even after I disproved this foul claims (which I shouldn’t be subject of in any instance). Will be reporting to head office and trading standards.

Been visiting this CEX for years now and every buying and selling experience I’ve had here has been pleasant and hassle free.

I’ve purchased all kinds of tech from here and never had any issues.

I personally always buy my tech used as you end up with a better deal but the only drawback is someone opened the box and used it before you.

Bonus with CEX is their 2 year warranty that luckily I’ve never had to use.

Was in the shop the other day and someone had a phone that needed a warranty repair but unfortunately for him the phone was beyond repair but the shop quickly offered him an alternative or a full refund.

Dropped in to trade in a PS4. The woman at the till was extremely helpful and friendly. Haven’t been to CEX for years but it’s the best place to get your used tech and games. I have never had a problem with games I have bought from there. I think they’re a little bit tight on what they offer cash on your trade ins, you get more if you sold on eBay but trading in for vouchers is much more worth it if you want to buy more games.
