Bought a phone from them in November,the phone became faulty the following April so I returned it and it was deemed unrepairable,I was offered a replacement and paid extra on top thinking I’d get a better phone,this phone then became faulty doing the exact same thing,fuzzy screen ,freezing,using battery really quickly,I returned it to initially be told it was out of warranty since I bought it in November,I explained that was the first phone this is the replacement so common sense says the warranty starts again,I was then told after them having it for a day that it just needed a software update and all the apps were open,this is likely because I’d swapped them over to my new phone I had to buy as I was left without a working phone,I disagreed and explained after looking online I’ve found that this is a hardware fault and alot of people have had the same issue with this brand and model and have had to send the phone off to the manufacturer who will repair it if it’s still in the manufacturers warranty,this phone isn’t,after showing the sales staff this one of them commented on how the fuzzy screen was a different colour to the example I showed them online so it can’t be that,this is obviously their level of technical knowledge so likely have no clue of what’s happing with the phone. I have pictures of the screen going all sorts of fuzzy colours, They then said they would buy the phone off me for PS90 less than I paid to then sell again, so in short they are happy to sell phones they know have faults, I got the phone home and it did the exact same thing it had been doing for days, freezing,fuzzy screen etc, I’ve contacted customer services who are siding with their Burnley branch,this shop seems more than happy to knowingly sell fault goods,I can’t risk swapping the phone for another one from them incase that goes faulty so I’m currently PS210 out of pocket. It states in there policy that a refund will be offered if the phone is returned within 6months and can’t be repaired as this phone was and is unrepairable by them,they are basically lying saying the phone is repaired to get around this,I’m not sure how two phones showing the same exact faults can be diagnosed differently,I’d be very careful buying anything from this shop.

Had to score 1 star as can’t score zero. Bought a gift for my son’s birthday a couple of months ago (kozmo robot) however upon my son opening it on Wednesday and trying to get it going we found that It wouldn’t do anything. After looking online we found out that the company/manufacturer has now gone bust.

This means we have effectively overpaid for a paperweight. Nothing was said to me at the time of purchase that I was buying an ornament and now I have a heartbroken 11 year old.

We have raised this to CEX and they have said they will “buy it back off us, at a reduced rate” once they have “tested it” you can’t test it because it doesn’t work.

Very unhappy with this experience and I urge people to steer clear.

Sweaty and overpriced for almost everything.

When a window display PS5 (slim disc) costs PS490 and yet they’re PS479 brand new in Argos (and most other retailers) you have to begin to wonder a) what the heck their business model looks like seeing how they usually offer the best trade-in (aka giving cash out) and b) who the heck is stupid enough to pay their inflated prices?
