I visited CeX Brixton this morning and unfortunately, my experience continues to be consistently disappointing. A particular staff member (Young black female with piercings) has a habit of being overly suspicious and interjecting unnecessarily. Today, I presented a Meta Quest Pro, which I intended to return within 48 hours to exchange for something else. Despite it being a B grade item, which often doesn’t include a box, she suspiciously remarked, “Don’t that have a box?” If it had come with a box, I obviously would have kept it in one.

Additionally, when a conversation about graphics cards arose — which are generally known not to come with wires — she inappropriately intervened to suggest checking a boxed one to see if it does come with wires, even though most people understand they typically don’t.

The inefficiency extends to their testing times; despite the store being nearly empty, they requested an hour to test my Meta Quest Pro, which is significantly slower compared to other stores.

As the old saying goes, “A liar thinks everyone lies,” and this mindset seems apparent in their customer interactions. I am thoroughly dissatisfied and will not return to this store again. I hope to see some improvements in their service for the sake of other customers.

My phone was stolen on 31 May in London (a purple iPhone 11).
Thanks to the Find my iPhone application, I was able to block my phone.
In other words, as soon as it turns on, it says that the phone has been “lost” (in reality, stolen).
To my great surprise, it was located in this shop on 31 May in the late afternoon.
I haven’t heard from my phone since. I still have the location of my phone in the shop and proof that they are reselling it, as I’ve seen it in their stock. Now I’m a long way from London, there’s nothing more I can do.
They’re thieves, they sell stolen phones, they don’t even check where the phone came from.
I find it scandalous that in 2023 companies are so unethical, I’m a student, I have no money to buy a new one . These people are making money off people in need and I find that unacceptable.
I strongly advise against this shop.

Quite big shop with lots of mobile phone and pc hardware.
It’s definitely one of the places you have to look if you’re looking for a refurbished laptop or phone.
Most of the items come with a warranty.
Prices are not the best in the market for second hand equipment but considering that appliances have been checked for good quality and been functional it’s probably worth a try.
