Usually I use Cex at Western Road and they’re wonderful. I tried to bring my Samsung S21 for evaluation to this Cex at George Street:
1. It takes 45 minutes compared to 30 minutes at Western Road branch
2. My phone was fully ok but after 45 minutes of testing ladies told me that my phone is broken. Proximity sensor is down. I tried to explain that it was impossible and the phone has the brand new condition but they said sorry and..
3. Offered me to buy it as non functional for PS50

I refused that generous offer because it sounded like a scam. I checked my phone at home and everything was working fine.

Be careful and check everything with another service if they say that your device was faulty and you’re getting offered to sell it is faulty stuff.

Be careful in this store. My son bought a graphics card for PS250 the card overheated and became unusable. however, a surly and very rude manager he mocked us and said he didn’t care because he didn’t see a problem- my son cried because he spent all his money on this card which turned out to be rubbish .
We went to Brighton shop and Manager of this store took care of our case. He accepted the refund and my son got another card. Really be careful if you don’t want to waist your money.

I like most of the staff and their selection but when I bought a keyboard and mouse recently which were very expensive I was unable to use them as my computer doesn’t have Bluetooth and despite being told I could exchange them for the same price if they weren’t compatible I took them back and was offered 99p!!! I rarely get cross but I felt completely conned , I shan’t buy anything but dvds from them which isn’t often . Very disappointed
