Last week i went to CEX, Exactly 7 days ago i handed in my Xbox one X console. Got served and they said they will test it and bank transfer me the money. I heard nothing for 7 days, No voicemail, no phonecall. I walked into the store to find out they failed it. Its been sat there for a week in front of customers. Turns out it had a dodgy HDMI port, I tried it at home and the HDMI ports are fine, The xbox turns on just fine. They did not test it, I know this because the batteries were not in the controller and my profile has not been touched. It was never even switched on. Let me get this straight, Im a technical nerd when it comes to this type of stuff and i can assure you there is nothing wrong with it. You just could not be bothered with it.

Management is poor, Standing around doing nothing. Staff have zero clue what they are looking for or looking at, PS5 selling for over PS600 is scummy in itself, Your breaking laws. I noticed someone selling a PS5 on the day i handed over my Xbox and you did not test it and handed over the money. Seems anything worth money you will take instantly without a test. Your staff are poorly trained, Store smells of sweat, Playing loud music, But none the less that does not matter, The issue is that you lied to me over and over again. Your store needs investigating.

Will not be shopping or selling anything here ever again. Bunch of liars and completly clueless. Picture in the review clearly showing the Xbox working. You did not even test it, Looked at it and called it a day it seems.

And lastly i got banned from the store from your poor management, Because i mentioned about the PS5 being to expensive for what they are. Poor customer service skills and requires further customer service training ASAP.

PLEASE AVOID IF SELLING PRODUCTS USE THE CEX AT HAMPTON TESCOS!!!!

Absolutely awful stuff was very odd and clearly need some social skills but I went in Saturday mid day to sell my MacBook Pro they had a look at it and all was going well till one of the testers came out saying that it was a FAKE MacBook and they hadn’t even powered it on. I believe they just didn’t want to test it as the couldn’t be bothered as it was quite busy. Nevertheless I knew that it wasn’t a fake as I brought it from Apple themselves and worked absolutely fine. So I took it to the cex at Hampton and they was absolutely perfect took it and tested and gave me the money!!

These shops are rip off places they would buy a dvd off of you for under 10p then resell it for sometimes up to PS1.50 even if it re sold for PS1.00. Not a bad mark up price of 90p profit. And the staff I find are not polite at all and the queue was dreadful 20 minutes and not a apology. And the biggest rip off with these shops is the postage you pay for each dvd you want so if I ordered 10 dvds the postage would be charged for each one what a con.
