Went here and bought God of War Collection Volume 2 which had a reprinted cover for around PS30. The box was in bad shape, the stickers seemed stuck on and didn’t look like they would come off. The disc was also scratched a bit, seemed to work for a brief time i had it in the PS3 but could’ve caused problems later on in the game. I got home and found out that they had reprinted the wrong cover and I had bought God of War Collection which had the first two games instead of Chains of Olympus & Ghost of Sparta which the box showed.
I returned the game the next day just to find out that I could only refund the game through getting Store Credit. Because they mislead me and printed the wrong cover, I was scammed out of PS30 and then was forced to spend the money at CEX which means they kept my money regardless.

The only thing about my experience that wasn’t bad was the woman that served me as she seemed quite nice and it obviously wasn’t her fault.

Realised a purchase wasn’t compatible so brought it back next day, exact same condition and receipt and was told store policy could only give store credit or buy the same product they sold for
70 for 40 pounds. So basically got ripped off 30 quid for absolutely nothing.
I appreciate I should’ve researched more into the device but I would warn future customers don’t rely on any goodwill if you make a similar mistake as their policy will be less than helpful. The store staff were perfectly professional and this isn’t an critique at them, just the policy they’re forced to abide by.

I ordered a black Launch model Nintendo 3DS, the console arrived with the box damp and stinking. Upon opening, I found black mold in the console’s Game Cart Slot and SD Card tray, and throughout the inner cardboard sleeve of the box.

There were dead inects (possibly fruit flies or ants?) in the battery compartment when I opened the console to check for damage. And the Circle Pad was missing it’s rubber thumb grip.

I’ve had to scrub the console clean with isopropyl alcohol just to get it into a useable state, the box was a write-off. Unbelieably poor display from CeX.
