I purchased 2 games yesterday, upon returning home I realised I was given the incorrect disc for one game which meant I had to go out of my way the next day to go back and get it replaced as this store isn’t my local. The girl who served me was super apologetic and I understand that this happens and I had no problem because it was a simple human error. I tested the game when I got home which it was perfect and had no issues so I then decided to play the second game I’d purchased which I didn’t think to test prior as I figured there should be no issue and I’d assumed they’d check the discs and make sure that they work prior to selling them but no, the game does not work at all, it comes up with a blank screen stating “PlayStation 2 disc”. I’ve made 2 trips already and will need to make a third trip to a store that is more than an hour there and back for one purchase. I’ve contacted customer support and again have to wait for a slow response as you can’t contact the store in any way directly to at least give them a heads up
Depending on the response I get from customer service I’ll either hopefully return the defective game to my closest store, or I’ll go back and return both games and never shop at CeX again.
Either way I don’t think I’ll go back to any store, they clearly don’t check that their stock actually works and I’d rather purchase from eBay and give money to someone who needs it and has actually tested what they’re selling.

Traded in my iPhone today. I was provided the same quote online as-well as in person today. i agreed on the amount and was asked to go for a walk for 20 min so they could put the phone in for testing. Once i got back to the store i was served by 2 others who weren’t there when i originally received the quote. They tried to rip me off and say that due to a small scratch (not crack, scratch) it would drop from a B grade to C grade. Both the website and the original person i spoke to classified my phone as a B grade. After 15 min of explaining that the phone was in good condition their response was “well i’ll do it this time for you but next time blah blah..” that’s not good enough. i’ll never be dealing with that store again. Absolutely horrible service by staff who don’t know their works policies.

The shop was filled with an array of devices a tech geek like me loves. The shops had phones ranging from the original iPhone to the iPhone 15, Xbox games and even they had playstations!

The first iPhone I bought from here had a camera issue(lens was shaking uncontrollably) so we went to the store to see if we could get a refund and give the iPhone back, but instead they were willing to exchange the iPhone for a slightly more expensive iPhone (10$ extra)(exact same type) but they waved off the extra price and were even going to transfer the stored stuff on the first iPhone to the second one! Simply is the best place to buy electronics and related goods for a lower price . Even got my cousin an extra PS controller
