Visited the store and bought a Kingston SSD card which was advertised as 240GB, printed on the receipt as 240GB. Was not informed of any issues with the card upon purchase, was told the card had been tested. Not local to Toowoomba, so had to wait till I got home the next day to test the card. Not only had it not been wiped at all, still full of someone else’s data (huge privacy issue for a second hand store but anyway) once the data was wiped the card still only had 110GB available, less than half of what was advertised. If your goods are damaged, advertise them as such. Just became absolutely clear to me that the product was not tested before being put on the shelves. Visiting a more local store tomorrow and hoping a full refund will be issued as the product came damaged (will be furious if one is not granted), but have permanently lost any trust in the Toowoomba store, their products and their testing procedures.

i purchased a playstation steering wheel after being told that it would definitely work on my ps5 but when i took it home it didn’t work so when i went to return the item i might a nice guy who was helpful and willing to do the refund due to staff error but had to scan the managers tag and she told him that i’m not allowed a refund only store credit and “it’s not staff error put it as goodwill” (or whatever she said) after looking at things i could get both online and instore i returned and “said store credit is useless to me there’s nothing for me to buy here can i please have this in cash” she than told me she can’t do that because it’s not her fault i told her the store told me the wrong thing causing me to buy it she told me it’s not her problem so now i’m out $100 because of the green haired lady in the toowoomba store

I love this store, always has great deal, so far I’ve gotten tons of products from here, without too many issues, and when I got a vr headset that didn’t come with the adapter, I was given the option of either a refund or to choose another, it was great,
I also had trouble with a laptop, where it stopped working within less than half a day, and I was able to choose a new laptop.
Apart from a couple hiccups here and there, this place is great, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for second hand tech.
