Took my laptop in to be tested and sold and the next day I get a call saying that the charger won’t fit into the port even though it was working fine the day before.

I collected the laptop and brought it home and low and behold the charger fits and works fine, however upon looking closer, my laptop has been received with two different chips in either side of it that were not there before, as well as three separate instances of fraying on the charging cable, which again, were not there before.

When I took my laptop in I also brought a ps5 controller in and within the first minute the sales colleague knocked it off the table onto the floor, which shows that they obviously do not look after your tech properly behind closed doors.

Additionally, the fact that these people cannot even plug in a laptop charger correctly is beyond embarrassing for working in a tech store.

Please don’t risk taking your items here for reselling, go somewhere else where they will actually look after your expensive items.

Dissapointing and embarrassing to say the least

Went to this shop to find a VR headset for my daughter. We bought a nice one for PS130 pounds. It didn’t work with her PC sadly and we had to return it. While buying it we got told if we would to return it by the end of December we would get a full refund IN CASH. While returning it we got told that the man was wrong and we would get a PS130 pound voucher. This PS130 pounds was my daughter’s Christmas money from friends and family. She was heartbroken. The man kept offering that we get a better graphics card for the PC so it could work. We had to wait extra time for them to print the voucher because ‘the WiFi is bad’ disappointing.

Very friendly and helpful staff here. My experience with cex is always good. You can find great deals here with 2 year warranty as well which is applicable all over the world. That’s awesome! I bought a laptop from here and the product is as good as new.
I personally feel if you want bang for the buck deal you should exchange and buy products from here. Which will save more money. Overall experience is fantastic.
