My partner purchased an item for me & sadly it’s incomplete. I noticed as soon as I took it out the box, it is clearly obvious & the 2 staff dealing with the sale really should have noticed. Do they not check goods prior to sale?
If they don’t, that’s incredibly poor for a business of this nature.
If they do, presumably when they take an item in & also again when the sell it, that’s also incredibly poor that this item as either passed through without noticing the glaring fault or alternatively it’s been sold whilst fully aware it’s incomplete. I’d sincerely hope it’s a genuine mistake rather than the latter.
Annoyingly it’s a 30 mile round trip to return the item.
I’m perfectly happy to remove this review once the item is refunded or replaced but doubt if CEX will do that once it’s left their premises in the incomplete state.

Clearly, given the response from CEX, the staff haven’t done their job correctly on more than one occasion & because of that, I’m stuck with an incomplete item. There is absolutely no way more than one person could have failed to notice the missing part. I’m so incredibly disappointed at all this & that I’m the one losing out due to the mistakes of others.

Great wee store. Lots of choice.
Staff were great, I popped in just before Christmas to get a phone for my daughter, had a set budget that I wanted to keep to (she has no luck with phones so didn’t want to spend too much). The person who helped me showed me options within budget, helped me decide whoch would be most age appropriate etc.

Only downsides the store has a kinda weird smell to it.
Very helpful and friendly staff, I’ve been here a couple of times now to sell items I don’t need any more, it’s just hassle free once they test the items you can choose to sell them or not, cash or bank transfer payment upon you deciding to sell, parking is cheap and easy – just round the corner and I’ve had absolutely no issues with the whole process with them.
