Repair Service Requested: PS5 Motherboard repair (blue lights of death)

This repair shop failed to fix my Playstation 5, despite initially claiming they could diagnose and repair motherboard issues.

I brought my PS5 in on June 22nd, disassembled with the motherboard exposed, and was told the repair would take 1-2 weeks. After receiving no updates for 11 days, I contacted the store on July 2nd and was informed the repair was unsuccessful. When I picked up the console, they claimed it was due to a shorted chip on the motherboard – the same issue I initially reported. They couldn’t provide details about their diagnosis or even confirm they had examined the console, as it was returned in the exact condition I dropped it off.

Throughout the process, communication was poor and misleading. During the initial drop-off, I informed them the issue was with a shorted capacitor/chip on the motherboard, and I was told they would be able to diagnose the issue further and inform me what the root issue was prior to authorizing a repair. Instead of following through on this, I was texted a few days later that this requires a motherboard repair (I already knew that), for which they charge a flat fee ($220) for diagnosis and repair without providing any further information about the issue. They didn’t diagnose / test the motherboard components as they promised.

After two weeks, my PS5 was returned unrepaired, and I was no closer to understanding the problem. I strongly advise avoiding this repair shop for any Playstation 5 issues.

I had an amazing experience with this company! The customer service was top notch. I took my wife’s phone for repair as it was not charging and they informed that the motherboard was toast, however, data was retrieve-able, which made my wife very happy as we had our 25th anniversary pictures and videos. They gave me options to buy their products or bring laptop or cell phone to transfer data. Their price is reasonable and they are easy to work with. Thanks to Johny and the team. I highly recommend this business 110% !!!

Today I brought two laptops in that were not working properly black screen and one said no hard drive.
The person working there was efficient at taking down the information, friendly and knowledgeable and set expectations to contact me and provide a update today. He called an hour later and said both are fixed one was just a loose hd connection which he fixed so it would not act.up again.
I asked what was it going to cost he said no charge.
He is my trusted computer repair person from now on!
