Took in a laptop with boot issues, the machine was returned in bits, not working. Eessentially written off. I took the machine to York IT Services for a second opinion, they made much more progress and were unable to understand the reason why the machine was dismantled anyway. They verified the machine was too expensive and risky to fix. There was some very minor wear to one hinge to be fair, but it was still a working machine and was not enough when handed in to cause it to be un workable machine. When given the York IT Review, a refund was swiftly offered, which was very kind, but not help to get a new machine or discounted repair attempt was offered. I believe this could have been concluded in a better way.

I’ve just done a job this morning which used to take all morning, in a few minutes. Previously I could only do it in batches: this time I just dumped everything in and watched it work. I used to turn the machine on when I went down to breakfast so it could get going – now I just sit down and turn it on. It is saving me so much time! Great investment.
