Pete was brilliant! He listened to my account of the problem, and told me the price for a remote fix, which would be increased if he needed to do a repair in-house, rather than charging me for two separate jobs. He spent time over two days trying unsuccessfully to effect a remote repair, and had to reinstall Windows at his premises. He offered phone support until I’d got the machine fully reloaded and running again.
