I brought in my Huawei that needed the screen replaced. He said to come back on Friday to pick it up. I waited until the following Tuesday to come pick it up. The store was disgustingly dirty, so much litter on the ground, dust and dead flies. The guy working said he hadn’t started working on my phone. He tried to insist that I stay 15 minutes while he fixes it. I refused, and said I would go run an errand and come back in 30 minutes. He was working on my phone without gloves and greasy hands.I paid 150$ for my screen to be replaced. When I got home, I took my phone out of the case. I noticed how scratched and damaged the sides were. The screen was installed incorrectly. One of the corners goes higher than the case. The front facing camera is also unusable as so much dust and debris is stuck underneath the screen.
I dropped it a week later, from not super high. The screen split and cracked in that corner that is higher than the rest of the screen.
I went into a different shop to get it repaired. They put in a new screen, and it broke immediately. They confirmed that the previous person working on it broke the frame while installing the screen.
Had my screen replaced in May, went on vacation two days later and the screen stopped working one day into my trip. This was a major inconvenience given I was overseas but to their credit they replaced the screen upon my return, stating it must be an issue with the screen as there was no water or physical damage.
The 2nd screen worked with some bugs (touch unlock not working, color issues) until this week, approximately 5 weeks since being replaced a second time. Once again the screen went black when the phone continued working (making noise, vibrating). I took it back again to mention the problem and they told me it is outside the 30 days and offered for me to pay another ~300$ for a “refurbished screen”. When I asked what was used before they replied after market and there is nothing they can do.
Warning to others to do your diligence when getting your phone repaired and to clarify the parts they are using. I was not told outright what type of part was being used nor if there were more than one option and if I had, I would have chosen the refurbished option from the beginning.
Please do your diligence and go to a reputable cell phone provider before wasting hundreds of dollars and being in the same position you started
