I know very little about laptops but needed a new one for running my small plastering business. After browsing the light use cheaper laptops I was approached by a sales assistant (Harry) he asked what I was after and ushered me to a laptop that was under the everyday use banner, this laptop had been PS379 but was discounted to PS279 only PS70/PS80 more than the cheaper light use laptops I’d been looking at, Harry informed me that if I was prepared to pay the extra PS70/PS80 I was getting a much better machine at hardly any cost. Great I said ok I’ll have that, Harry went to collect one and said meet me at the till for payment, once at the till Harry informed me there was a better bargain laptop for only PS270 and he’d throw in a 2 year care plan plus either a free WiFi mouse or headphones, great I’ll have that one with the headphones please as I’ve already got a WiFi mouse. So when I got home you can imagine my horror when I read the receipt, I had paid PS192 for the laptop, PS50 for the care plan PS20 for the headphones and PS9 for care plan for headphones, he lied when telling me the laptop was PS270 he knew I was prepared to spend that amount so he sold me a cheaper machine and stuck a care plan and headphones on telling me they were free!!! I went back to the shop and tracked Harry down, I told him he has miss-sold me these items to which he denied but he was willing to knock the “free” care plan and headphones off and just sell me the laptop for PS192. I didn’t ask for the care plan or the headphones but he tried to disguise these as free once he knew my budget. Eventually I got a full refund and bought the original PS279 discontinued laptop. Just beware of the sales tactics.
Then got told we need to go into shop to choose different oven ( we actually chose same oven because of colour and surely the new one would work ) staff in store ( silver link ) were helpful. Got it all sorted and a date of today 25th March for the new oven to be changed. We were concerned as did not get the text day before confirming. We had to ring today to find out what’s happening and apparently it’s not logged at all!!!!! And we have to contact the store? Anyone ever tried to ring or even get a number for the store? So currently no further forward, still have fault oven, might have to make another time consuming visit to the store. To possibly still waste our time. Might be time for me to complain to credit card company to get money back. I would highly recommend YOU DO NOT USE Currys because of the total lack of customer care. I mean 4 visits form their engineers then a visit from us to the store and still not sorted is beyond a joke.

Also the delivery drivers were very good, called when on way turned up on time, took the washer upstairs no problem and left it neat and tidy where I wanted it. Great service all round pleasure to shop there.
