I decided to make a purchase at Curry’s PC in Luton, and it became clear that the staff lacked the necessary knowledge and willingness to assist with technical inquiries, possibly due to insufficient training. Here’s a detailed account of my experience:

On May 17th, my friend and I visited Curry’s PC in Luton to buy a laptop. We approached an employee named Trevor in the laptop department and asked if he could recommend any laptops with an i5 processor and 16GB RAM without a graphics card, as we noticed that mostly the available models with 16GB RAM are equipped with a graphics card. Instead of addressing our question, Trevor spent a long time scrolling through his tablet without responding. When we asked again, he said he was searching for us. It turned out he was just browsing the Curry’s website to filter the specs, which took over ten minutes. Eventually, he told us that no such laptops were available. His attitude was rude, and the customer service was the worst I’ve experienced. Additionally, Trevor’s behavior was so unprofessional that it made us wonder if he might have been under the influence of drugs.

We finally chose a laptop and decided to apply for financing, but then we were abruptly informed that the finance section was down. This is not the first time this has happened; a similar issue occurred during last year’s Black Friday sale. We then went to the Curry’s PC in Stevenage, where the customer service was exceptional, and the finance section was fully operational.

This experience at the Luton store was extremely disappointing. It appears that the staff may need better training or could be exhibiting discriminatory behavior. Overall, I am completely dissatisfied with the quality of service at Luton Curry’s PC.

Probably the worst customer service policy I’ve come across. Went to buy some headphones for a child. (Last minute for a flight) None were on display and those that were had no labels or prices attached. I couldn’t see if the headset was too big or small for a child. I asked to see one of the headphones on one of the cards which I took to reception. (Stored behind the counter) They told me they couldn’t physically show it to me because its in a box. But if I buy it then i can open it to check. But if its opened and its too big for the child I cannot return it.. to clarify, they don’t have it on display. I can’t see it unless I buy it. And if I buy it and open the box just to look at it (even in store there and then) I’m told I can’t return it. Absolutely ridiculous. I will actively encourage family and friends not to bother with this store anymore. Sana was very helpful and apologetic for the policy but the lad on the till was rude, showed no interest in any actual service or understanding, flippant saying if I look in the box and even if I touch the sticker in front of them I can’t return it. Definitely won’t be returning and will stick to amazon online. Its no wonder people don’t want to shop in stores anymore

Outstanding service from Peter at the Luton branch today. Assisted my husband & I in purchasing a smart television and he went above & beyond to ensure we were happy with our purchase, even helping us to ensure our purchase was safely loaded into the car. He really is a credit to the team and hopefully he gets the recognition he deserves. Thanks Peter
