Me and my girlfriend went to curry’s to purchase a washing machine and a tumble dryer. We were speaking to John M . He was at the start of the experience informative , however we left the store vowing not to return again. This was due to a few comments made . We did not want to take the extra insurance out on the items and John new this. I understand he is supposed to push sales on this sort of extra. However after we refused politely for the 3rd or 4th time, he said for us “not to come back to him hysterical and wailing”. As 2 woman I wonder would he have said this to a man?
In Another instance we asked to have time to look ourselves, as we wanted to make sure we were spending the money on the items correct for us. He spotted us taking pictures and asked us to not to buy online as it affects his hours working there. I said I wasn’t but just comparing. Fast forward to the sale I asked if I could use a code for discount . It could only be redeemed online however. And he was annoyed at this , he made us feel bad and said “fine , order online then”.
We felt bad and ordered in store.
This is a minor detail but more to show his attitude towards us. There was a deal on limescale remover making it PS1. He said to us it was free multiple times and he was doing us a big favour , but I could see it wasn’t free (it was discounted) . It was only PS1 so I wouldn’t have argued , but he didn’t ask if we wanted it he just added it to our bill.
There were more comments etc but hopefully this shows the attitude in store. This incident happened a month ago, but me and my partner still talk about how it undermined us and made us feel. Therefore I felt it important to leave a negative review that I usually wouldn’t do.

negative experience with this company. Absolutely not customer-oriented… ordered a new refrigerator for a new home. Everything was planned to receive it on time. As a result, we received a damaged refrigerator. There are two large stains on the front door. As soon as we discovered the stains, we contacted them for an exchange. Three days have passed, no news… In our new house, where we moved in, there is a damaged refrigerator that we cannot use and that is waiting for an exchange. Regarding the new refrigerator, no one can give information about when it will be… it’s just some kind of horror and shame. No one apologized to us and how am I supposed to live without a refrigerator? how and where should I store products? will the company refund me for the damaged products, time and nerves?…no one bears any responsibility. we never received any information. three times we spoke on the phone about this situation and each time told everything from the beginning … better stay away

I went round this store to have a look at some of their products. I knew the closing time was 6pm. I was told by a member of their staff ‘this store is closing in 5 minutes mate’ I said it’s only 5.50pm and it says your store is opened until 6pm. He said ‘I only get paid until 6pm mate’. When I was leaving a couple of minutes later their door was already closed. I get the feeling the staff can’t wait to get rid of their customers. I won’t be bothering them again with any visits to this store or any Currys store for that matter.
