Dear Currys Customer Service Team,
I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service I received at your store in Arena shopping park during a recent visit to purchase a 55-inch TV.
Lack of Attention and Assistance: Upon entering the store, my primary requirement was to purchase a TV that could be taken home the same day. Unfortunately, the first salesperson I interacted with seemed disinterested, continuously checking his phone and providing minimal assistance. Despite my clear inquiry about the availability of 55-inch TVs, he nonchalantly mentioned that none were available, a statement contradicted by the presence of LG TV boxes in the store.
Poor Product Demonstration and Misinformation: When I inquired about experiencing the TV model on display, the same salesperson refused to provide the remote, instead advising me to check online. This response was not only unhelpful but also contradicted by another salesperson who later informed me that none of the remotes in the store were operational due to them being demo models. This inconsistency in information and the apparent disinterest in assisting a customer was both confusing and frustrating.
Pricing and Price Match Policy Issues: Further aggravating the situation was the handling of your price match policy. Upon noticing a lower price for the same TV model on Amazon, I was briskly informed by a salesperson that the store could not match the price, without any attempt to verify this claim or consult a manager. This interaction was both dismissive and contrary to the customer-friendly policies that Currys is known for.
Post-Purchase Realization and Disappointment: After an already disappointing experience, I decided to proceed with the purchase due to personal urgency. However, upon setting up the TV at home, I discovered it did not include a magic remote and was equipped with LG’s OS, contrary to my preferences for an Android TV with a magic remote. This realization only added to my frustration, as these preferences were a part of my initial requirements.
The cumulative impact of these experiences left me, my wife, and my child extremely disappointed. The level of customer service was far below the standard I expected from a reputed retailer like Currys. It not only impacted our immediate shopping experience but also our confidence in making future purchases with your company.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that steps are taken to improve staff training and customer service protocols. While I have decided to keep the TV,
I believe it’s crucial for potential customers to be aware of the level of service currently being offered at your stores. Improvements in staff engagement, product knowledge, and adherence to company policies such as the price match guarantee are necessary to ensure a better customer experience.

There is some truth to this, as I went inside the store to collect my order, there were few staff members at this place.
I went to the collection point, told the staff member that I came to collect my order, he said to me the that he was going to find someone to get my order. I waited about 4-6 minutes he came alone back saying that he couldn’t find anyone. Then he said let me take your order number (maybe he took advice from someone, when he was looking for someone to help me, well who knows?). From when he was first standing when I approached him he went to the room where my order was kept.(maybe he was new and maybe he didn’t know where online orders were kept in the store?)
This Curry’s in Coventry seems below par, in the future I will now collect any online order collections from the Airport Retail Park one.
