Then I phoned customer service and was told to take the bike back to the store and advice them to sort it out. When I did that they refused again. I asked for a manager, James who came, said the same – we cannot help you, and just turned back to me and walked away!!. I asked for his name to complain at head office but he refused to give me more than first name and said that Matt at customer service will give me all the details. When I asked Matt for the details he again refused to give me managers full name.
After spending an hour on a phone with customer service lady on a phone asked me to pass the phone to manager James – who was nowhere to be seen, every staff member I asked for manager was avoiding me and telling that he will be back soon – not one person came up with an idea to go and find the manager because theres a customer on a phone who tries to speak with him.
After 2h in the store, after being switched on a phone 10 times I was told by customer service I phoned that head office is looking into the situation and will contact me the next day. I have lost couple of hours, PS20 for taxi to transfer broken bike to Currys and back and still nothings sorted. PS175,50 for 3 year care and repair plan with 7 days repair guarantee and after 4 days no one even looked at my bike yet. Bike I was using for daily commuting to work. Disappointment is understatement. It seem that all that ,,care and repair plan” is just a con, because Curry’s will send you back to sort it out yourself with standard manufacturers warranty – which is free.
I can imagine there’s a lot of people who had the same experience in Torquay branch at customer service desk, with Matt or manager James and hope that not everyone just gave up when refused a service they paid for.
Probably most shocking is that as a customer you ask a manager for help and assistance and he just turns and walks away.
Curry’s should pay more attention to who they hire because it may destroy ,,use to be good” name of the firm.
He gave me a full explanation of the product , including the sound bar. I was so impressed that I purchased the TV & sound bar. Steven added a bundle of items to the package & the whole deal was discounted. I was amazed & very happy!
I will definitely shop at Currys Torquay again!
