Shocking! We purchased a washing machine, got it home and it was damaged! No problem, these things happen. It was frustrating, but it is what it is. SO, I tried to call Currys customer support and was told I had to go into store because the order was a click and collect, again no issues, I did however ask him to check the stock levels at the store we were going to, he told me he couldn’t do this?! So, off we went back to the shop, got there, and was pointed in the direction of the “Support desk”, the ladies on the support desk were sat playing on their phones, they weren’t really interested in the issue and just had a “can’t be bothered attitude”. So, we were told to go upstairs to look at other machines because the one we had bought was the last one in stock there, so we had to pick another. Went to look at the display. The sales man came over and was quite blunt, not really helpful. Again, had a “can’t be bothered” attitude. He asked what we want, we told him, and he simply said “oh we’ve only got 1 in stock but we don’t have a display model”. So we didn’t actually see what we were getting apart from images online. We had no choice but to take it because ours has broken completely so we needed a new washing machine! Went back down to customer “support”, gave the lady my details, again! Again, both of them were on their phones still, there was a guy stood behind them leaning over the counter playing on his phone and one of the ladies was talking about going for their break and said to the guy “oh you take these customers, I’m off for a break”. The customer service is horrendous! If I was the customer service manager there, I would be absolutely mortified at my staff!!!

I fully agree with the last review and me too do not like to write bad reviews but at the same time I feel responsible for pointing out bad experiences. The staff at this branch (near IKEA) are not pleasant at all especially those at the customer service desk, grumpy, moody and not interested what so ever to help customers. It wasn’t just me who went to the shop but my husband was with me too and we both have same feelings. Surprisingly even in the other branch of currys at the crown point retail park are also in similar manners except one called Sam who was very helpful and nice. However, I had before good experience with the online shopping from Currys (even though I don’t like shopping online) but never again go to the Currys stores and face unpleasant time which spoils your day.
Amazingly when I came back from the store and read the previous review, I felt better as it is not just me who has gone through such an experience and others have also same opinion. I hope that Currys will sort out this as now a-days most people prefer to shop online but not everyone is good or like it and also going shopping should be having nice and entertaining times.

I do not like writing bad reviews. I really don’t. However, the customer service was shocking. I ordered online to collect.

Firstly, I had a little look around the store to see if they had the paper I wanted. No, they didn’t. Fair enough. The staff was just totally disinterested in helping me find it. He pointed out the places I could look and left.

Then, I went to collect what I had ordered online. I was totally befuddled on how their system worked. There was no queue and I was waiting where the sign said online. There was someone at the desk. I politely waited a few minutes, then they asked if I was waiting for someone. I replied yes and they walked off. I was then approached by staff from another desk asking if I was waiting, but as they did so the members of staff serving walked out.

I felt like I had interrupted the attitude she gave me. She was not pleasant and she was sarcastic towards me while saying bye.

I will not use this Currys again to be honest. There is a lot of hanging around but not doing much. I felt like an inconvenience.
