I am giving one star, because 0 stars isn’t possible!

This store and their contact centre are beyond useless. I will never shop here again and I would avoid if I were you.

Complete failure on behalf of the Manager (Maddy), who told me to order online, due to the fact the product I wanted couldn’t be tested, therefore if I bought it in store and opened the box, I would not be allowed a refund. But guess what, if you buy online and open the box, you’re allowed a refund Anyway, I ordered in store and was told I could have the product in 1 hour. The product was waiting for me in the office. I returned but wasn’t allowed the product because the computer said no! I wasn’t allowed a refund either, as the computer said no. Currys were prepared to take my money and let me leave the store without the product!!!! Long story short, I bought the product again, in store and as a goodwill gesture, Maddy said she would overlook their refund policy I was told I would receive a refund for the original product in 3-5 days. Today I telephoned the useless contact centre in South Africa, only to be told, Maddy hadn’t cancelled the order, so now it will be another 7 days for a refund! Outrageous treatment and unbelievable that Currys employee this level of management, who are totally incompetent. I am tempted to go to the store and take the product. Why not? It’s mine, I have paid for it!
I have reported Currys to the bank and TS.

Went in to purchase a Bluetooth speaker for a birthday present for relative on the same day. Firstly we couldn’t get to listen to the speaker due to the display not working. We decided to purchase anyway as they had one in stock. After being told to collect it in an hour we returned to do so. However, when we were at the payment counter the manager suddenly decided that we couldn’t have it due to an error that the staff member had done on the computer. They pressed the wrong button and told us to return on Thursday (it was now Monday). Even after a massive argument between us both we ended up having to cancel the original order and then pay another PS140 if we want the one in stock which we already bought. To top it off Maddy the so called manager messed up the cancellation and instead of waiting 3 to 5 days for a refund, we had to ring customer services who told us that it wasn’t cancelled and was still waiting for pick up from store. Needless to say, terrible service and useless manager. Just an awful experience.

We went to Currys for a new TV but the one displayed was out of stock and we were unable to buy the shop floor one so chose another one which was again out of stock we were feeling frustrated because the assistant who is very knowledgeable about products told us if we came back next day it may have arrived with new stock but there was no guarantee so we could be wasting our time, we asked if we could go online and order one in a different area and was told no you have to go to the store and physically pay so from a customer point of view it was a useless trip and not customer focused at all so we left, and once home looked online and bought one the same as in shop PS300. Cheaper with free 3 days delivery with Amazon well done Amazon and thumbs down for Currys.
