I ordered a product for in store pickup, which took two days to arrive at the store, inexplicably a day later than if i had ordered it for home delivery. It arrived three hours earlier than promised, hence the 2*.
The pick up experience was poor. The queue took ages, and there was only one person in front!
The goods weren’t at the pick up point. I, and the goods had to be verified multiple times, which was pointless, i wasnt asked for the pick up code, which would have been quicker.
I tried to use the online pick up process, which was rubbish, it just kept putting me third in the queue. Then it told me i had to produce a driver’s licence, which was not mentioned at time of order, or in the pick up confirmation emails. Then the assistant had to manually add the details of the pick up in the pick up goods screen, which again took ages.
I did get the goods in the end, but it was such a poor experience that 2*s are generous.
What I expect as a customer.
1. I arrive at the pick up desk and am seen promptly.
2. I show my pick up order number/email.
3. My goods are waiting for me, at the pick up desk.
4. They are handed to me, and the assistant says something along the lines of ‘thank you Mr. X, have a great day’, with a smile.
5. I leave with my goods.
I’m sure some corporate person will respond saying blah, blah, blah. And there will be a justification BS for all the procedures, but please it’s not rocket science, it should be easy, just make it simple.
She came back and tried to get me to take out their care plan, I refused but she insisted that she could see her manager and do a deal. She came back with an offer of PS20 off an overall cost of PS100 C/ plan + 50p plastic mouse mat. Absolutely disgusted, I’d just paid Grand in cash, the least they could have done is give me the insurance. Not v. Good I thought. On + side computer is great.
