Currys in Skegness | Best Phone, Laptop, and Computer Repair Services at Affordable Prices | Quick Fixes

After having purhased with Currys for the last 30 years, Allmy electrical items have been bought through them. I was confident in purchasing a new HP laptop and took out their insurance that covered electrical and mechanical breakdown at PS8 per month.
I have had the laptop for 3 years now when suddenly one of the hinges went tight when opening the lid and snapped off. I went to my local Boston branch where they advised me that this wasnt covered under mechanical breakdown and tried to say it was “wear & tear” I found this amazing how they could be so acurate on their diagnosis without even seeing my laptop, so this just highlights that they have no intentions in repairing this item even though it is covered, however they did offer me a new computer that I could purchase at full retail price, or pay to have it repaired! Currys is just hiding under a big well known name, when there simply con merchants, and buy not responding to me in writing makes them untouchable. I have since written to Currys head office, where they have simply ignored me. I have been in touch with trading standards, they advised me that they cant help unless I get a response from Currys in writing telling me why they wont honour this claim.
It has been 4 months and Ive heard nothing and for this reason, I have sworn never to use this company again.
I hope this warns off future customers getting their fingers burnt in paying for insurance, where Currys have no intention in paying out! They dont deserve your custom…

I had to come on here to really shout out one TV salesman which we met, Mark. Mark was absolutely insanely knowledgeable on all TVs, the information that he has is immense and rarely come across. Not only was this Marks job, but his hobby which he was so intune to. He helped us with our queries and after picking our TV we went home and made sure and measured up . We made the decision yes we could have ordered online but we wanted to make sure Mark had the sale, so we went back in store. I encourage everyone to order in store, shops won’t be around a long time if everyone orders online especially after the pandemic.

Mark deserves high recognition and praise. We’ve not come across that in a long time. Whenever the survey comes through post delivery of our TV there is no question in my mind – it’s a 10. Thank you to Mark.

Went to boston currys to view a hisense tv I was wanting but out of all the tvs they had only 1 was a hisense and not even there premium model but a budget 1. Waste of time currys offering tvs on website you dont have instore.
I understand you cant stock them all but 95% are LG’s a couple samsungs and sony and 1 hisense. Are you an LG only store? Would of been nice to have a fair amount of each. Now off to another company to buy my new tv. Dissapointed currys boston.
