I bought a washing machine. The sales assistant was more interested in selling me a care package than how my current machine was installed. At delivery the driver was unable to even disconnect my old machine because it was ‘hard wired’. He said he had arranged for an electrician to attend the following Monday. That evening a shop assistant called to say I had to pay PS140 for an electrician to attend. What about the PS55 I have already paid for installation? Settled at PS85 which could not be paid over the phone. Following day went to the shop to pay it. The assistant told me there was no booking for my installation, it would have to be Tuesday. I asked for the reference number but the computer was down. Early Monday morning I received an email from Currys, they said they had tried to phone me, but I had no missed calls, if they couldn’t speak to me that day the installation was off. It is not possible to phone Currys shop, All their phone numbers are answered by automation which most times end up with the product manufacturers. I emailed with an ultimatum of a refund plus compensation. The reply asked for my address! The machine was installed on Tuesday. I will never again shop at Currys

Absolute nightmare if a company to deal with. Ordered a brand new cooker and microwave. The cooker was delivered and just left in its packaging in the kitchen. I paid for a professional electrician to install it only to find that the cooker was actually broken! I went to my local branch of Curry’s who refused to deal with the problem citing that they could only direct me to the online customer services – in South Africa!!! The call centre was clueless on British consumer law, very unhelpful and had no desire to rectify the situation quickly. I am now cookerless again for another 10 days through no fault of my own!!!
Now the microwave was also ordered online with the notice stating available for collection TODAY.
Once I had purchased this item, I was subsequently informed via email that this was not true and that I had to wait 48 hours for a new item to be detached from main depot.
If you read the fine print it states it can take up to 5-7 working days for them to refund your money.
Very dubious business practices and shocking online customer service.
I will never buy from them again.
My advice spend your money elsewhere ….

My mother wanted to get a new vacuum and decided on this one (btw one of the best vacuums we have ever used!).

The staff were very friendly, helpful and resourceful on picking the right product. We was treated with respect and good banter and was absolutely fantastic customer service throughout the whole time of being there.

Would definitely return again!!
