Staff insisted on taking a PS30 computer keyboard to the counter for me while I was still shopping – I guess they thought I was going to try and steal it… They then insisted on trying to sell me various extra things at checkout and would not take no for an answer with the accident insurance stuff – in the end they gave it to me for free to ensure I took it!

I was stood at the checkout signing pointless documents for a care plan I didn’t want on a PS30 keyboard that they thought I was going to steal! The checkout process took about 15 minutes and I had to repeatedly say I wasn’t interested in changing my broadband provider. I said I had just signed up and they told me to use the 14 day cooling off period! Cheeky!

It’s a shame because the store has a great selection of stock and the prices are good and you get the convenience of being able to get the items immediately and go home with them the same day, but it was spoiled by an unpleasant checkout procedure. I appreciate the staff are just doing what they’re told to do, and they were friendly and kind, but the way they repeatedly tried to push extra things onto me felt a bit forced.

Staff were great. The guy who showed me the tvs couldn’t do enough. But the guy who took my friends’ details needs to work on his people skills .my friend is mentally slow, and the TV was for him. I was there to help the guy. He was rude just the way he talked to my friend it was like he didn’t want to be there the body language the way he spoke to my friend. I had to walk away because I was getting annoyed. Then I heard him say to my mental slow friend I need your bank account details.””” He never said way he needed them, so I said,” What do you need he’s bank details for he’s paying for it in full by card for the warranty the guy said he never asked my friend if he wanted it or not the guy thought I was not listening and my friend was thick so I told him no didn’t want a warranty the TV has a 4 year warranty guy was not happy the rude man trying to take advantage of mental health people. Disgusting service or complete lack of. Went to purchase a Nintendo switch this morning only to be ignored for 20 minutes. Eventually spoke to a lady at a returns to see if she could help. She informed me that I had to speak to staff on the shop floor in order to buy something. Saw a member of staff stacking shelves and asked him if he could help. He barked that he was busy and I’d have to wait. He was exceptionally rude. Decided to look on my phone at ARGOS and see if they had one. The did for immediate click and collect. So went there where they bent over backwards to accommodate me. In and out in under 2 minutes. Well done Currys. A sale lost and a customer who will never visit again. Appalling behaviour!
