So I went to Curry’s a few days ago to buy some new top of the line gadgetry. All my fans out there know I love a good deal now and then. A good proper deal. 5% off. 10% off. Even… 11% off. Those are the kinds of deals that I love. Me, Mr. I-Love-Deals. Anyway so I came into Curry’s Folkestone recently looking for said deals on top of the line gadgetry (only at Curry’s PC World), when I met a bloke with brilliant hair. Not only did he help me get good deals on a new set of headphones, but he also sold me a cool new VR headset, of which only a few were still in stock. Thanks, hair employee.

He also talked to me about credit. But I’d say he talked to me about credit to the perfect degree. Not too little talk about credit, but also not too much. Just enough credit talk so that I really considered going into credit debt. Thanks again, hair employee. I bet he’s so good at guitar.

After my transaction was over, the hair employee took me around the store and showed me all the cool stuff there is to buy. Like a PS4500 TV. I can’t afford a PS4500 TV, but the lovely employee did a well good job selling me on the concept of a monthly payment system. I would never subject myself to that, but I reckon he could easily talk someone else into doing so.

While I was looking around the top floor, I (with my perceptive eye for deals) noticed that certain products were labelled “epic deals,” even though other products had better deals that weren’t! What! What a load of bologne. Bologne, I say! I love deals!

I would come back. In fact, I probably will. Because I love deals. I’m Mr I-Love-Deals. And I love Curry’s. And I love you!

Park Farm, Folkestone. Admittedly it was lunchtime, 12.45pm, however I was looking for an upright freezer which are upstairs. I took the lift as I can’t manage stairs. Where the notice says press and hold it means to keep the button pressed ALL the time til you get to your desired floor, ground or 1st, otherwise the doors don’t close or it stops moving. There were 2 serving customers, fair enough, so I wandered around the freezers of which there weren’t many. One suited my needs however with no assistance I decided to leave only to see the guy was still serving, but the woman wasn’t. She looked up from her ipad/whatever, looked at me and looked straight back down at it. No attempt to say – are you ok, can I help you. Not even an attempt to find me. On the ground floor 3 guys were chatting and none could be bothered to ask if I found what I wanted. I wouldn’t buy from Currys even if it was the last electrical place in the UK. They need plenty of customer training from the people at the Kings Lynn branch who look after their customers very well. From an unhappy ex-potential customer.

I came into the shop with a tablet that wasn’t charging with an usual charging port and explained this to the employees. I was met with Antony and one of his colleagues (I regret that I’ve forgotten her name otherwise it would also be mentioned). Between the two of them they cleaned the device and charger port, and then tried out a couple of different chargers for the device until they found one that worked. Between the two of them they gave perfect service with a smile, I was very happy with the customer service I received and therefore decided to also buy a further device that I needed for charging other devices in my car.
