I entered the store and 5 members of staff were surrounding an ipad screen. The lady I spoke to had long white hair, I didn’t take her name. I explained that I had a TV in the back seat that just needed a plug changed as one of the prongs broke off. The staff member explained they do not fix that in store. I asked “is there somewhere else I could possibly go for this” to which she replied “do you not have a man that could do this for you”. I explained I was more handy than my husband and what she said was completely sexist. I proceeded to leave the store but I was so disgusted I wanted to talk to the manger. I explained the situation to the manager and he apologised whilst still looking at the screen and not giving me the genuine apology I deserved.

The lady who said the sexist comment said she didn’t mean it in a sexist way. I asked “how else could it be meant?” And then she said “I did not say it as aggressively as that”. So as a women of colour I have been called aggressive too. I was upset not aggressive when reiterating the events. The manager did not apologise and I left the store.

I left a complaint with central services and never received an apology. I do not know what repercussions the sales rep received. I just feel like the whole situation has been poorly dealt with.

My 1 star is not to anyone in the bromley store.my 1 star terrible service is to the actual customer service in the main office that you get through to when you ring the number that’s available.i rang them twice trying to find out what’s happening with my order I ordered in store.she said she will Tey get in touch with the store twice and said she can’t get through to them so I have to go into store. I asked for the number to get in touch with them directly and her answer is i don’t have a number to give.then I replied so how did you ring them to tell me that you couldn’t get through to store then.and she said we don’t have a number and then put the phone down. How does people get away with working in a company like this and get away with a attitude like this

I went to return an online order, new unopened (Coffee machine) they say they aren’t equipped to deal with these machines. I was told to follow procedure online which it says u can either return online or organise a collection. Went back in to show them and they they said don’t know why that is but they cannot take my order back. Polite staff but confusing why I can pick up an item ordered online but you won’t take it back. Not happy something so straightforward needs to be difficult!
