We purchased two appliances from currys one was supposed to be for a rental property but we had them both delivered at the same address.
The appliance for the rental property was faulty (manufacturer problem), and we have been going back and forth for three weeks to get a replacement.
Our options were:
1. request a refund (which would take 4/5 working days to get the money and because part of it we used a gift card that part will take 2 weeks to be refunded)
2. pay for someone to uninstall it from the rental (after we paid for someone to install it in the first place) and bring that appliance to our home so Currys could pick it up from there and replace it. Which means we then have to pay the same person to reinstall the appliance. This option alone would cost us PS300
3. keep the appliance faulty or have it repaired (surely i would have gone on ebay if i wanted a refurbished product and do i really trust them to do a good job when they cannot even sort out a simple replacement?.
in all of this the customer service was appalling, people being rude and laughing at our expenses. The one person I trusted, Louis, from the complaint team, turned out to be just as bad, wasting another week of our time, resulting in our tenant refusing to pay 3 weeks of rent now and threatening to report us.
We will seek legal advice now because this situation is beyond a joke. We are dealing with a serious illness in the family, and Currys, knowing this, actually laughed and created more stress.
Save yourself the hassle, go on any other suppliers and avoid currys at all cost.

Display items were damaged and missing on big ticket items such as hobs, ovens and cookers, clearly a neglected part of the store.
The customer agent just kept walking off whilst we were still asking questions like he just wanted to get back to his browsing.
Rarely ever have I had a better experience in this currys; with finding agents to help and the nonchalance when finally having someone help. Today we came in wanting to buy new hob, and inbuilt oven. Just left frustrated and empty-handed.
TVs we’re mostly off. It was seriously the most unwelcoming shopping experiences.
Must do better.
