When i entered the store it was about 16:05, immediately someone from the staff shouted “we are closed” I didnt react as I knew it supposed to close at 5pm, then there was a follow up aimed at some staff member “shut the door”…
So i continued walking down the shop as i came to shop for headphones, and trust me I would have spent money if i had a chance, but i simply couldnt, as there was 1 headphones to try and maybe 4 on display… and it was basically two empty isles of headphones as per picture attached
The first person I talked to was Munir, or Moonir, im not sure how its spelled.
I asked him wheres all the headphones and he told me that all currys are like that, which is an obvious lie as ive seen currys before. When i started asking him isnt it his job to restock, he refused to serve and kept playing it as its my fault for being a little shocked. If I wanted this (as per picture attached) i could just go on amazon or argos…
The only properly testable headphones were JBL which costed about 110PS, but i wanted to try more out before spending any money. there were few other headphones on display but all of them had jacks hidden so it wasnt posible to try.
So i kept looking around security guard asked me if i wanted service, i said yes, he called another guy named Taz, i asked him these same questions, to which he said we only have these to try, refering to “JBL”. I said OK, come over here, and we came to Skullcandy display, there were two headphones one with no pads and a hidden jack another pair seemed fine but with a jack hidden, so i couldnt try them out.
At his point getting no offer for something to try, i kept asking further… I asked why are these broken headphones on display, and isnt it their job to replace them, Taz replied “its skullcandy peoples job, they have to replace it”, then i asked if he informed skullcandy about this he kept lying “yes, skullcandy people come here often, they check”, after this he refused to serve me and walked away. 😀
As they walked away i was left on my own so i started trying to get the hidden jack of skullcandy headphones out of the hole, security guard came up to me and said “what are you doing you cant thouch them”, i said “these two guys refused to serve me, which i asssume now leaves me in self service so im trying to get the jack”.
Security guy was actually very reasonable and nice absolutely no complaint going that way.
As the other two guys saw me still trying to find the jack, they came back and said “what are you doing” i said “you refused to serve me, these skullcandies are clearly meant to be displayed for tryout as theres writing on sides that those are demos, but where’s the fucking jack”
as soon as another guy heard me say @fucking@ guy named Salie ran up to me and started playing regular staff abuse card. He didnt even try to offer any service, it was 16:30 at that point and he added “we are not serving anymore at this time”. He then asked me to leave the shop. I said I would like to be served instead.
i point out up until this point i swore one time, “but where’s the fucking jack?”
Salie called the police and started lying that i swore at several staff members, insulting them personally, which was his own speculation and faulty accusations.
He kept repeating to these other two guys “i got this, i got this, leave it to me”
After that call he gave me another option to leave, and i left with no headphones, as even at that point i was ready to buy something, but there was nothing to buy…
What a service it was like I was in the war ground. But the manager was really polite and helpful, she apologised to me and my family for what happened.
My advice to others would be if you are weak hearted then don’t go to currys Mile End because salesman like Mustafa acted like a gangster.
