Wanted to buy a kettle, none in stock but was told that 3 were expected on next delivery, I went back in and staff checked the delivery, there were none, I was told that this kettle was in extreme demand, left a contact number for them to contact me when the item is in store, I’m still waiting, I will probably look elsewhere. The lady who served me was very helpful ,but I shop here often and have noticed its short of staff ,and when Iasked an assistant for help I was told its not my department, this is a shame as curry’s possibly losing out on sales due to this.As on this occasion I was interested in a phone and went elsewhere and purchased it so nearly 200 pounds loss to Curry’s, maybe they can afford to lose this money ,but is not good for the reputation of company its a shame as seems to be the way of the retail world these days, I enjoy going to the shops but can understand why people are preferring on line.

This is the worst Currys I have ever visited. We wanted to try some Sony over the ear headphones to see if they fitted our kids. They didn’t have any on display so we asked if we could open a box to try. The manager said that was fine but we needed to go to the customer service desk so they could help unpack them, we did this and were told that we weren’t allowed. After explaining that the manager had told us to do this we were still refused. It appears the manager has no agency over his staff.

We left and I found them cheaper online with John Lewis after reading a review stating they fit a five year old.

Conversely, we visited the Tunbridge Wells store two weeks before and they couldn’t have been more helpful.

Just got back from a trip to Currys Eastbourne. The customer service was non existant. Plenty of staff all with zero interest in helping potential customers. I have since spent my money online buying a computer. No wonder the country has productivity issues with listless staff such as what I witnessed. One staff member even ignored me as though I didn’t exist, I may have well been a ghost.

Never ever going back. My advice to customers is to go online, save money and have the information you need at your finger tips.
