Unfortunately I left their store in Yeovil branch today very very disappointed and embarrassed for them based on their level of service and I’m not sure if it’s a scenario of “won’t do” rather than “can’t do”.
I work in retail myself as a branch manager for a large company and I can honestly say I would never treat a customer the same way.
So I went into store last night with the full intention of buying a laptop very urgently for a last minute project I was meant to start today.
I had found the laptop I wanted and was in a rush to buy it as it was on offer at a great price and was exactly what I was after. I wanted to get on and buy it then and there to get on with the work I had planned.
The lad called T** went on to continue trying to upsell me Microsoft 365 and anti virus for 20+ minutes. But we politely hung around and heard him out as a previous retail assistant myself having customers walk away from you and shut you down can be quite disheartening.
Suddenly the clock struck 8pm and the team started closing the store and the lad immediately stopped talking and said ” we won’t be able to process a sale now as the store is closed so we will need you to head to the door now but if you come back tomorrow we can process this one for you”
I found this extremely rude as I had explained I was desperate for this laptop TONIGHT and I had just driven 30+ mins to get it.
Nonetheless I reluctantly drove to the store today in a rush to purchase the laptop and to my surprise the laptop had gone back to its original price. From PS499 up to PS729!! So it’s not like it was a small saving AND I DESPERATELY NEEDED IT YESTERDAY WHEN IT WAS STILL AT THE BETTER PRICE! I am now paying the price just so I could be polite to one of your team members upselling me things I’m in reality not even interested in!
I had explained this situation to a chap in your store who said nothing other than ” we won’t be able to help. The prices change daily”
Then proceeded to ignore me. Called over another of his colleagues and asked him to deal with me instead. Probably because he didn’t want to have to deal with what he thought would be an angry customer.
I have driven 2hrs + in total for this laptop
Wasting PSPSPS
I had done my research to get the perfect laptop and at a price I could afford.
I was in a rush and they were more worried about upselling their services and delaying the transaction to run past 8pm.
No real explanations or help In regard to solving this issue atall.
And my work project is now behind.
Overall quite rude staff that have no real consideration for their customers needs nor helps relate to the customer.
I have put a complaint in with your contact centre and I look forward to some sort of resolution to this because it’s absolutely apauling and the store should be embarrassed!

I returned to the store to complain and the staff member we talked to was mist unhelpful and suggested we phone both companies direct as it was no longer their problem.
