I am writing this review with great disappointment as a Darty MAX account holder who has been shopping with Darty for quite some time now. Today, I had an awful experience at a Darty outlet, which, incidentally, is the second unfortunate encounter I’ve had at two different Darty locations.

I visited the store intending to buy two Dyson fans, a simple shopping trip I thought, given that I had recently bought an iMac from the same outlet just last month. However, when I approached a staff member for assistance, the situation quickly deteriorated.

Upon notifying the salesperson that I wasn’t proficient in French, his demeanor changed dramatically. His abrupt and unprofessional response left me perplexed – he became visibly agitated and began speaking in French, seemingly indifferent to my inability to comprehend the language. I was left in a state of confusion, wondering if his behavior was rooted in racial bias or mere linguistic frustration.

Regardless of the reason, his anger escalated to the point where he asked me to leave the store, a shocking and completely unjustified response to a customer seeking assistance. I was merely asking for help in a language I could understand, a request I believe is not unreasonable, especially for a business that operates in a multicultural city.

This experience is a stark contrast to the expectations one would have as a Darty MAX account holder. It has prompted me to reconsider my relationship with Darty and made me seriously contemplate ending my contract and discontinuing my visits to their stores altogether.

The discriminatory treatment I experienced today is unacceptable and left me feeling marginalized and unwelcome. As a Darty MAX account holder, I am appalled by the lack of professionalism and understanding displayed by their staff. I am further disheartened that this has been my experience not once but twice now.

In conclusion, I advise Darty to improve their customer service training, with a focus on cultural sensitivity and language flexibility. It’s crucial to treat every customer with respect and dignity, irrespective of their race or language proficiency. Customer satisfaction should be the core value of any retail business. And for a company like Darty, who has loyal customers like myself who are willing to subscribe to a premium service, such treatment is simply inexcusable.

I sincerely hope my review prompts Darty to reassess their customer service strategy and implement changes to ensure a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all patrons.
