I chose a pre-modded iPod over modding my own to support a small business that’s active in the community. The shipping was quick (very cheap too!) and it came nicely packaged. The box and info card is very Apple-esque. It included a 30-pin to USB-C cable as well as Earpods, which I very welcomed. The unit itself had a shiny new backplate but the front looks like old stock (a little scratched but nothing bad, I did hope for a pristine condition though). I haven’t loaded music on it yet but the software seems to work flawlessly so far. What I noticed was that the storage was only 230GB (I ordered 256GB). All in all however, it’s a nice pre-modded device when you can’t find a used iPod in your own region for cheap! I’ll update my review once I’ve used it as my daily driver for a while.

Delighted to say that my 20 yr old ipod sprang into life with the new battery fitted and I’m now able to annoy my nearest and dearest once more by blasting out all my old stored music, much of which I only have on the ipod. Fitting the new battery was slightly fiddly but easy enough in the end – plenty of videos online showing how it’s done. PS9.95 well spent!
