DO NOT GO HERE! I took my phone here in February as I had a smashed screen. The man in the shop (Sunil) fixed the smashed screen, but since I got it back the touch system was glitching and what would happen on the screen was not aligning with what I touched. I messaged him the next day and asked to get it looked at, and he asked me to come back so that he could try again. When I got the phone back, the same issue was there. I went back about 3 or 4 times to get it sorted and the issue was still there. He kept asking me to come back but I only got one day off a week and kept using it to travel to his shop, and over the next few months life got busy and I simply had no time to go into his shop again. In the meantime, I used my laptop for contacting people and used a work phone. When I had some free time, I messaged and asked for a refund and explained that I don’t have time to keep coming back and forth to the shop, and although the screen was no longer smashed, the actual function of the phone was broken which made it so difficult to use and was worse than the screen being smashed. Sunil said that the only way I could get my money back would be by going into the shop and returning the screen, as those were the ‘goods’ that I purchased – this would mean that I would come out with a screenless phone which is not what I entered the shop with in the first place. He was telling me that I did not understand and that if I bought something from a shop, I’d have to return it to get my money back. I tried explaining that this wasn’t a shop but a service – you pay for a service of your phone to be fixed and if the phone gets more broken in the process, you should get your money back. There was a lot of back and forth and he was getting quite rude and patronising, he was messaging as if he was having an argument with a friend rather than speaking to a customer. I ended up contacting citizens advice as I didn’t know what to do, and they came back and said that he should try to fix the issue (which he had done) but if it was causing inconvenience for me to keep going back to get it fixed, then he should offer a partial or full refund. I showed him this and he just kept saying that I had to return the screen to get a refund, and was ignoring citizens advice and telling me I was wrong. There was so much back and forth and it felt that he was avoiding direct questions by starting random arguments e.g. he started accusing me of sending screenshots of our conversation to trading standards which I had never done. Recently, the screen has fully come out of the phone and the phone won’t switch on at all – completely broken. I told him this and he said it wasn’t his fault as he put the screen in months ago – this could be true, but I’ve had many iPhones, and have never ever had an iPhone screen just fall out so it seems odd. Eventually I sent a voice note basically begging him to at least partially refund me and he sent me PS20 which is a very small amount of what I paid. I was glad to get something after all the back and forth but the fact is that since he tampered with my phone, it is so broken that I am having to buy a new one. He said that if I leave a bad review he will post screenshots of our conversation on social media which is so unprofessional for a business to do, I never write reviews but I found the whole situation really upsetting and stressful and it was a lot of money that I have lost – plus I will now have to buy a whole new phone.

Honestly had a really terrible experience, I don’t normally write reviews especially not such negative ones, but this feels warranted to me.

Went into the shop on Friday needing to replace both the front and back screens of my phone and asked when they could have my phone ready. I was told the next day. Naturally I assumed they must have already had the parts in to do a quick fix, so I left it there happily. Turns out they did not have the parts, so the phone wasn’t ready on Saturday or even Sunday. My partner went to check to see if they had my phone on Sunday at 3:30, but the store wasn’t even open as the opening times stated it should have been.

If I had known I would have to wait until TUESDAY, I would not have left my phone at this time, as I was expecting (and subsequently missed) some very important phone calls.

I understand that apparently one of the parts that you ordered in was faulty, but that’s no excuse for the fact that you told me that it would be ready by Saturday, in fact, if you had told me Monday, I would have happily waited until after my important calls had come through.

Even after all that, I was happy to just have my phone back, so I probably wouldn’t have written this review, but then I noticed that whoever replaced the back glass on my phone did a terrible job, and the it is literally coming off of my phone (see attached images). Picked it up yesterday I didn’t take the rubber bands off until this morning and this is the state my phone is in now. You can even see the glue where it leaked between the glass and the body.

The only positive I can list is that the touch screen is perfectly fitted and functional as I write this, but that honestly feels like the bare minimum at this point.

Really disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. 🙁

Absolutely shameless response from the owner, my phone was not at all bent when I brought it in, I know that because it was in a sturdy case the entire time it was broken that has remained dead straight. Yes, the glass was very shattered, but the phone was not bent.

Also, if the phone was so badly ‘bent’ as you claimed, why does the front screen fit perfectly fine while the back glass is entirely detaching? Has it nothing to do with the obviously shoddy job with literal adhesive leaking between the glass and the body? You say that I could have brought it back for you to fix, but if the issue with the phone being ‘bent’ was so dire, then surely this is unfixable? Maybe you should have done a good job in the first place rather than expecting me to bring my phone back in, you only had my phone for 4x longer than you said it would take.

As I said in my review several times, the other issue wasn’t that you took so long to repair it, it’s that your employee told me it would be ready the next day. You should not have told me this if you knew you didn’t have the parts.

I will admit you guys did a good job on the front screen, but the way your response is trying to make it seem like the back screen detaching is my fault??? You have to be joking, you can literally see the leaked adhesive from the terrible application in the photos I posted.

Slimy business practice to try and fault the customer, you should be ashamed.

They said they could fix my phone and it would only take a couple hours, they then proceeded to mess around for more than a week and whenever I went in there was a different person in the shop and had to call the other person to check what was going on with my phone. Then when I finally got it back it stopped working the same day and wouldn’t charge and when I took it back they said it would take another week and they needed to send it off site, that was when I drew the line and asked for a refund, at which point they started shouting at me and were extremely rude.
