I brought my phone into Dr. Phone Fix a couple of months ago. I had an extremely bad interaction with this company. First off, I was told that my phone would be repaired within a few days. After multiple phone calls (they never once called me to update me on when my phone would be ready), my phone going back and forth to the store, and over a month of my phone being in and out of repair, my phone was still not fixed. They explained to me that it was an issue with updating my phone, which I’ve since done and continue to have issues with. My phone randomly turns off, sometimes in the middle of phonecalls, selects random things on the screen as I’m scrolling, and the volume up control no longer works. The first round of repairs lasted two weeks, they gave it to me and said that a new screen was coming in to replace the one which was hardly working. Then they had the phone for a few more days because they, once again, screwed up and ordered the wrong screen, which had to be reordered. I payed upfront for all the parts and labor, which I was quoted on twice. The manager stepped out after my original quote and talked with his employee in a different language in front of me, and then informed me that they wouldn’t make any money at the original cost. I said that I understood and accepted the price change. After the second round of repairs they still didn’t have the back plate for my phone at the store, which they insisted at the beginning was necessary to change. After calling them for a week (again they still had not called me back with any updates on the arrival of the part, which they informed me would only be a couple days) they asked me if I paid for the back of the phone. I was obviously furious and insisted that I had in fact paid for everything at the beggining. I was then kept on hold for 10 minutes while they dealt with other customers before checking if I paid. They reluctantly verified that I had in fact paid for this and said that they would order it in (mind exploding emoji). I couldn’t believe that the part was still yet to be ordered. After a few more days (aka one month into this transaction) this miracle of a company was able to get one of world’s simplest parts attached to my phone. I am not interested in this company contacting me in order to resolve the issue with my disabled phone. Instead, I would suggest that everyone boycott this company and save yourself a massive headace and hassle.
My phones charging port had been making any and all chargers loose and the chargers would fall out/ charge only at specific angles. I thought the port itself was loose so I took it to this store to get the port replaced. After examining the phone the rep told me it looked like the port needed to be cleaned then proceeded to say it would be a 10 minute job and wanted $40 to clean it (?!) $40? To run a toothpick or sim card ejector over it for 5 minutes?? Absolutely not. I took it home and did it myself. Couldn’t imagine the price they’d try to gouge if there was an actual problem with my phone. They get an extra star because they diagnosed the problem.
My Note20Ultra screen was damaged. The Proprietor/Tech gave a fair estimate, ordered it and it came in 4days. He swapped screens in a short time ,then went through a series of checks to ensure it was perfect. I’m expecting it to be back to the best phone I’ve had. I didn’t ask about Warranty, but I see you advertise ‘lifetime’ for parts and labour, so I hope that’s honored if necessary. I’d recommend Dr. Phone Fix in Prince George to others.
