My laptop refused to turn on and I had it repaired here.
The first time they “fixed” it and managed to turn it back on and said don’t update it as it was the latest update that broke it.

The job cost PS95, with a warranty of 3 months.

I was able to use the laptop for a day, when the following day, it happened again. On the phone, I explained the laptop refused to turn back on again, and they said last time, it was the screen that didn’t turn on, this time sounds different. I stressed that it’s the same issue (the laptop itself won’t turn on) and it sounded like they were trying to get out of the warranty – never once, not even on paper – did I mention it was a screen light issue.

I had it repaired again and it was fixed again, but this time, they said it’s a battery issue and if I want to repair it, it will cost a further PS95.

It’s the exact same issue, the first time they said it was a software issue, then a battery issue.

Feel like I’m being robbed/lied to i.e they don’t really know what the issue is. Didn’t fix it properly the first time despite being paid for and want further payment to “fix it”.

1 star for them being able to actually switch on the laptop.
Whether it remains fixed is another story, but this shop isn’t one I’m willing to return to to try “fix” a third time.

My laptop keyboard wasn’t working very well, so I looked around at repair options and chose this place. I went in on Friday, and they ordered the parts. On Tuesday, they let me know the parts had arrived, so I took the laptop in at 10.30. They promised to have it ready by 10 on Wednesday, but did it quicker than expected which meant I was able to pick it up at 4 on Tuesday. Top service, great communication, friendly and knowledgeable bloke (Adam), speedy repair, PS20 cheaper quote than I’d found elsewhere. Thanks!
