My Macbook Pro died in the middle of using it, and I had a real sinking feeling it was going to cost a fortune to fix, based on previous experiences with other Apple failures.

Add to the mix that I couldn’t find anyone in my own town available to look at it, and that I had not backed it up (I was just about to! Honest!), and it’s looking like a case of full spectrum ARRRGH.

So I gave Eagle IT a call. Steve answered promptly, listened to what had happened, summarised the likely issues, and offered to take a look. I dropped it round the same day.

Within a couple of days Steve had called to say he had identified the problem, and suggested a solution. A couple more days and he had received the part required, fitted it, tested all was working, and it was ready for pick up.

Price-wise it was very affordable, the turn-around was excellent, communication perfect. Highly recommended.

And yes, I have now backed up.

Steve went out of his way to ensure my laptop’s issues were resolved. He’s friendly, knowledgeable and down-to-earth with a no nonsense attitude to people and problems. He went to a lot of trouble sorting out my laptop and was very clear when explaining issues without mansplaining or being patronising. I trust him entirely and will always return to him after a poor experience with another very local computer/phone repair business.
