I’ve used them twice before: firstly for a trashed laptop, which was my fault; then for another trash which was the corrupt Windows 10 update. Happy with those experiences, with the exception of not getting laptop back on the promised day and being unable to contact them over the weekend. However, this time I was contacted by them for a service they said was included in last year’s repair package. Alex came and looked at it and discovered what I had suspected: that the laptop had not been Windows updated since the last work they did on it – 10 months ago. Also said they would renew my AVG subscription. Took it away for 2 days. The day after I got it back I discovered that neither job had been done! I phoned immediately on the Friday, was promised a call back by 5pm – not. Rang again Saturday morning (they don’t work 7 days a week 8am – 8pm as the ads & flyers say) Demanded a call first thing Monday morning. I rang shortly after 9 and was promised a call back between 10am – 11am – not. At 11am I was assured I was “in the queue”, to which I responded that I should have been first in that day’s queue since my first call was 3 days previously. I had to go out but my husband spoke when they rang and I was advised to ask for Josh, who would sort it remotely. It took 3 phone calls and 3 hours to contact Josh, who knew nothing of my previous calls. It would not be possible to sort it remotely. Finally got the device collected, where it stayed for a week. A multitude of phone calls, and broken promises, plus two visits to their Bromsgrove unit later, followed by further broken promises (100% certain, we were told twice – incorrectly) the laptop was returned. At which point (I had to be out) the subscription was renewed in my home and updates set to load and left. It failed to load because there’s an error – looks exactly as it did when it left me the first time. I will take it elsewhere. I have completely lost confidence in this company as we found we couldn’t believe anything we were told – some of the ‘explanations given were absurd and an insult to intelligence.
Still waiting for promised partial refund two months later. Truly Dreadful experience throughout. Engineer collected laptop-he was very professional and knowledgeable but regrettably that was our last dealing with him. Laptop was due back Saturday-we were very clear about needing it back then but we heard nothing. After chasing it up we were told no engineers worked on Saturday. It was finally returned two hours later than agreed time on Tuesday. The laptop had been restored and so I had to reinstall everything myself-from DJ software to the printer and iTunes etc… All my favourites and settings were gone but worse still my windows programmes were wiped and there was an issue with the DJing software. We had also paid for anti-virus which was not installed. I booked in a call for 5pm on weds to have an engineer fix problems through remote access-of course there was no call. When chased I was told that the engineer would call me in 5-mins. An hour later-nothing, so I called again to be told the engineer was unavailable and finished work at 6:30.
Dreadful communication from start to finish and for the hours I have now put in I probably could have fixed the issues myself and created fewer new problems.
As an update to this review the same engineer that first dealt with us came and fixed the last few snags. As before, he was pleasant, professional and got everything back in working order.
I called to ask for a partial refund and this was verbally agreed – was informed I’d receive a call and refund within the hour. Guess what? No call, no refund. Guess I’ll be spending even more of my time chasing that then. My feeling is that this company is overstretched and that they need to do some serious work on their customer service when things go wrong. I won’t be using them again and would not recommend them to others, which is a shame as the engineer that finally fixed our issues was excellent.

Terrible service, constantly had to chase, promised call back that never happened. They have not put all my files back on my computer after service, took it away again then claim that the computer crashed before they had it. There was nothing wrong with the computer except running slow when it went in for service. Look like they have lost the majority of my files but don’t want to admit it. Wouldn’t use them again even if I ever get my laptop back wit all its files.
