Very disappointing experience with this shop. I took my 4 year old phone in for repair as it would not switch on, but was previously working absolutely fine. The shop informed me that it needed a new screen and would cost PS150. As I needed it for all my work apps on there I decided to go ahead vs buying a new one. I received a call after 2 days to say the phone was ready so I picked it up. Within approx 6 hours of doing so a line of green pixels appeared the full length of the screen, followed by a line across the screen too. I took the phone back to the shop and was told that I must have dropped it and broken it myself, which I definitely had not – I had the phone 4 years and it was in a heavy duty case so was well protected and there was not a mark on the new screen. The camera was also no longer working, which it was prior to the work.

I was then told it would be another PS150 to fix it, which I disputed and was told they would ring me back after speaking to the manager – I felt I was being fobbed off just to get me out of the shop. No phone call was received after 2 days so I rang them to be told they would fix it for PS100, which again I refused, to then be told they would check with the manager and ring me back. I specifically said ‘you are going to ring me back aren’t you, because you have not done previously’, I was assured I would be.

Two days later, no phone call, so I rang back again to be told to take the phone in and they would fix it free of charge. I took the phone back in and picked it up after a few days and was told there was no warranty on the work carried out. It now keeps crashing, with the screen jerking and the camera still does not work – its all but useless.

Think very carefully before you use this business for any repair work, I certainly wont use them again. Their customer service is non-existent and if anything goes wrong you are on your own.

I recently bought a new laptop that didn’t have a backlit keyboard. I did some research and saw it was possible to upgrade. I bought the backlit part off ebay myself.

I rang and booked with Elland Computers mentioning I wanted a backlit keyboarding fitting.I them dropped off and asked them to fit. When I collected he mentioned my laptop only had two ports on the motherboard, and was missing the third to connect the backlight to make it work. Fair enough I thought as I knew it needed a third from my research also…

I got home, did bit of research and decided to look myself, I soon realised watching Youtube I did have all necessary ports. I then fitted successfully myself using a Youtube tutorial! Also noticed a few of my rubber stops missing whilst I was dismantling.

I messaged on Facebook asking for a refund as it didn’t feel right I had paid for a job not completed and had to then spend my own evening doing myself instead, and then also having my laptop returned with bits missing. But got no reply.

Definitely friendly guy, but I really can’t recommend.

Great service, dropped 2 iPhones in with smashed screens, both were repaired within half an hour.
Left my daughters iPad with them, as it would not turn on, was given a repair price & told what they thought was the problem.. kept me updated.. only charged the original price quoted even though it was something other than originally suspected. Needed an additional part & took a lot longer to repair. Would definitely recommend
