Took my laptop in because it mysteriously refused to switch on. Was told that they’ll let me know within the next 2 days what the issue was. I waited 3 days (with no word from them) before I decided to call them and ask for an update. They then said they just started looking at it and said they’ll call me back later, which they did to tell me it was a motherboard issue. I then told them to proceed with fixing it. They then offered to have the replacement motherboard sent quicker via special delivery for a bit extra, and I agreed to it thinking that the laptop will get fixed quicker and I’ll get it back in a matter of days….Nope!

Another week goes by without any word or update whatsoever (and they had my number so there was no excuse), so yet again I had to call them and ask what was going on. Yet again, they tell me that they were just about to look at it and it’ll be ready the next day. ANOTHER 3 DAYS go by before they finally contact me to come and get the laptop.

Poor customer service aside, I then thought, “well at least they’ve fixed the computer”, so I took it home and what do I find? The computer runs slower than before, I have to reactivate Windows and the internet connection adapter seems to only work intermittently.

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED???!!!

My guess is they used a cheap replacement motherboard for my laptop (which will explain the computer running a bit slower than before) and probably STILL used a cheaper/slower delivery option to maximise profit for what already seemed a bit steep a price to pay for what was needed. It’s like I paid these lot to downgrade my computer.

I’ve never felt this disappointed with a paid-for service before, especially considering all the previous glowing reviews these lot have received. I suppose I got an early clue into how shoddy they would be when I originally emailed them about a query and they didn’t even bother to reply.

Awful service from start to finish. Fix It should be ashamed of themselves. Never again!!!

The short story… In a nutshell: if you want quality service, I can’t recommend Fix it London high enough! 11/10!

The detailed review: I was impressed not only by his knowledge but by the attention he has given to me as a customer.

Being in the service industry myself, I highly value customer service. Raf’s is second to none! He went to the greatest lengths to find the replacement parts for my all-in-one computer which was only a year old. It was broken in transit when a courier company were delivering it to my new office location.

While waiting for the materials to arrive, Raf kindly loaned me a similarly spec-ed PC to use until mine was ready.

He kept me informed of progress and even chased the parts company when they exceeded the length of time they’d agreed to supply the components.

Prior to contacting Fix it London, I had approached another computer repair company but, they didn’t get back to me when they said they would and badly let me down.
