Today I went to FNAC Parly 2 to try to resolve a problem. I have a gift card that is not working on the web site. The website has a problem and doesn’t give me this payment option.
I went to the physical store, Parly 2, seeking for help. I ignored the fact that these stores are not the same (FNAC online and FNAC physical stores – as the Parly’s Fnac Manager told me).
I asked for help for a lady and I was treated with a lot of arrogance and sarcasm. She said that I had to use the numbers on the paper, what I’ve already tried. I tried to explain that I had already tried it but was not working. Well, she didn’t want to listen, even realising that I was doing a lot of effort to communicate in French. I could not even finish my words. I tried to insist but didn’t work. I could not even explain what was going in on properly. I had no chance at all.
In the end, we argued badly and I showed my middle finger to her and a lot of his friends came to defend her.
The security came saying they would call the police because I had made an aggression showing my finger. So I said.. please call the police!
They didn’t call the police, the called the mall’s private security and they want to take me to a private room.
I tried to walk away and FNAC’s security guard grabbed my arms, put me against the wall and prevented me to leave the place with physical force.
I tried to release myself but as a woman of 1,68 cm and 53 kg, I could not get free of the security guard holding me with such strength.
In the end, the mall security manager talked to me in English and said it was a big misunderstood.
I’ve talked to the FNAC Manager as well and he asked me to apologise to the girl.
I did it, I explained to her that I felt disrespected with her arrogance and sarcasm. She said she was misunderstood and it was not her intention to ofend me. In the end she helped me and even tried to calm me saying she was there to help. She tried to finalise my purchase on FNAC’s Website but she couldn’t because the site doesn’t have the option to pay with a gift card (exactly the reason that brought me to the physical store).
It was wrong of me to show my middle finger to the girl, but the guard has no right to use force against me as he did.
I went to the << police municipal >> and the lady that helped me there told my that I should make a complaint in the << National Police >> because even after showing my finger, the guard could never touch me and much less use force against me.
They could call the police and make a complaint about the finger.. but never, ever touch me.

I visited FNAC at Parly 2 mall to pick up a special edition of a CD, as I didn’t find it at FNAC Champs Elysee.
What’s great about FNAC is that their records have track of every product they sell, so if you don’t find a product in one store you may find it at one of their branches.

Service apres vente declined to take back a 2k EUR damaged tv after 2h spent trying to get their manager (who hasn’t even showed up). The reason given “product was opened and manipulated” – how else can you discover that the screen is broken?? through the box? Unacceptable.
