I don’t normally like to leave bad reviews, but I feel that this place could do much better. I had a broken screen on a Samsung phone that had been dropped.
– Server was rude, dismissive and patronising
– Insisted on cash payment – when I questioned this he muttered something about being a small business. Utter nonsense I regret not walking away at that point.
– Didn’t give me a receipt
– The screen he fitted has a 1 cm dark strip at the bottom, the colours are completely washed out and the touchscreen is so unresponsive that it’s impossible to type quickly. It’s clearly a very low quality screen and/or poorly fitted.
– I returned the next day to give him a chance to rectify this, and he just said it’s a non-Samsung screen so won’t be the same quality, and that if I buy a Samsung screen online and bring it in then he will fit it. I have had screens replaced previously for a similar price (likely also non-genuine screens, but nowhere near such poor quality as this one). This shop needs much better customer service and honest communication about the quality components that it is using. I hope they take these reviews onboard and improve.

Ali charged me PS35 to replace my Samsung A70’s battery. He did fine job and the price is reasonable. However I’m only giving 3 stars due to poor customer service. Ali was very friendly to begin with. They didn’t have the battery in stock so he told me to come back a few days later. He left me a voicemail once the battery had arrived. Up until that point everything was going well.

However when I did make subsequent visit to get the battery replaced, his demeanour had completely changed, he wasn’t his usual happy self like before, and seemed even reluctant to say a simple hello. In fact he seemed irritated with me, so much so that I ended up asking him if I did/said something that offended him, and I wanted to apologise if I did. But he said I did not offend him.

So I have no idea that would explain his Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde like behaviour. Maybe he was just having a bad day? Or maybe I was a couple of days slow to respond to his voicemail and he is holding a grudge for that? I don’t know.

In any case, good customer service is very important to me. Some basic courtesy goes a long way and doesn’t cost anything.

Unfriendly, unhelpful and rude. Came in and asked for a pay-as you-go sim and he glared at me silently like I’d just slapped his mother. I’ve never used one before so I asked for some advice, to which he was dismissive – basically talking to me like I was an idiot. Then refused to take a card payment – admittedly it was only 1 pound, but what year is it – 2010?
OK he wasn’t going to make any money out of me, but common courtesy and good manners cost nothing.
