Paid PS25 for them to tell me my broken PC wasn’t working.

For context, my PC is literally my work, without it, i cannot do my job.

I rang up to check whether they do computer repairs, they said they do and I would have to bring in my PC.

Took my PC in to a gent behind the counter who seemed to have little to no idea what i was talking about when discussing my computer components. He then Video called his boss and agreed the price it was going to cost for his boss to have a look at it.

They told me it would be done by 4pm, but that they would give me a call when it was ready. 4pm came and went. I rang multiple times to no answer so at 4.20 i jumped in the car and just went to the shop.

The gent behind the counter said that his boss had had a look at it, and quickly showed me some photos of my motherboard with red lines around parts to indicate what the issue was but never actually explained what was wrong. Then he video called his boss (his boss wasnt actually there) and handed me the phone for his boss to tell me the motherboard wasnt getting any power, which is what i had already explained to the employee behind the counter both over the phone and when i arrived to drop off my PC.

I asked if I needed a new motherboard, he said Yes, and i was on my merry way. Thinking it was a pain to have paid PS25 for them to tell me what i already knew but at least a professional had looked it over and verified the prognosis.

Got it home, took it apart, removed the motherboard to find a huge scorch mark on the reverse side of it, nowhere near ANY of the red markings they had shown me on the photos.

So I effectively paid PS25 for the employee to video call his boss and turn the camera to my PC.

Massively unhappy, will not be returning.

PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I had a phone which had a broken screen. I took it here to have the screen replaced and when I got my phone back the screen was not working properly at all. It kept pressing buttons, going onto random apps and all sorts! It was completely unusable
The phone worked fine with the cracked screen please understand, no problem at all just the screen was cracked.
I took it back and they tried to refuse to sort it out, there invoice states in bold THAT IF ANY PROBLEMS OCCUR AFTER THEY HAVE SUPPOSEDLY FIXED ONE PROBLEM THEY ARE NO LIABLE FOR ANYTHING ELSE!!!!
Now I have waited before leaving this review as I wanted to make sure I was right about them destroying my phone.
I took my iPhone to another reputable company and they told me there was no problem with the screen, GADGETS HUB just didn’t put the screws or brackets back which hold the screen in place.
WOW, unbelievable really. I paid Gadgets Hub PS75 to ruin my phone. I also paid PS7 for a charger from GADGETS HUB which literally stopped working the very next day!!!!
I’ve now had to pay another PS120 to have my screen replaced AGAIN with the correct screws and brackets this time.

Since having my phone returned by ID Mobile Repairs there has been no further issues.

I went in to get my charging port fixed as my phone wouldn’t charge. Unbeknownst to me, the issue did not reside in a ‘broken phone’, the phone was in fact not broken at all and the issue was with the plug for my charger. One would expect this to be immediately obvious to a phone repair shop however I was charged for a charging port replacement for a charging port which was never broken.
Safe to say when I returned home the phone continued not to work until I replaced the chargers plug, yet was still down 40 quid.
Cannot recommend.
