It is with disappointment that I must advise against making purchases from this store. While the staff are amiable initially, issues arise when faced with faulty home appliances like the Miele WWE760 8kg Washing Machine (White Edition). Despite encountering recurring problems with its twin dos feature, necessitating two repairs – the latest being in October 2023 under warranty – the same issue resurfaced a mere 3-4 months later. Upon contacting customer service, I was informed that, as the warranty had lapsed, I would be responsible for the repair costs. This situation raises concerns about the efficacy of prior repairs and the rationale behind shouldering expenses for a recurring issue that indicates a lack of permanent resolution.

I have to acknowledge that HBH Woolacotts Electrical Superstore did come to fix the problem, and it seems to be working fine after a week.

The engineer identified a blockage in the maintenance system’s pipe, which hadn’t been addressed during the guarantee period.

While the service was good, I’m disappointed that I was repeatedly told by the receptionist that the issue had been resolved during the guarantee period, leading to me having to pay this time.

Despite the problem being fixed eventually after discussions at no extra cost, my overall experience leaves me hesitant to recommend this place.

We visited Woolacotts on Saturday to purchase a new food processor, and whilst there to look at electric log burners. In both departments the sales people could not have been more helpful. They really go the extra mile without being at all ‘Pushy’ and do their best to be helpful. We bought an iron and a food processor, delivered yesterday for free. Today we had problems getting the processor to work. My husband rang into the store and a very helpful
assistant talked him through how to get it going. We are so impressed and will definitely go there if we decide to buy a fire thank you.

After an online search for electrical retailers stores in Plymouth, I was pleasantly surprised to find HBG Woolacotts, a South West based business, which was refreshing, all instore staff seemed friendly, Beth helped me purchase a DAB radio she was knowledgeable, relaxed and professional, I am very happy with my new radio, and very happy to have been able to hear it’s quality in store before purchasing it.
I will be buying all electrical requirements from this store from now on, easy to get too, plenty of parking I can highly recommend them.
