I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience with ICTV-Uk, who were responsible for repairing my Samsung TV. Here’s a rundown of the issues I faced:
1. **Multiple No-Shows:** ICTV-Uk failed to show up on two separate occasions. Initially, this was put down to a driver being sick, which is understandable. However, a phone call at 10 AM to inform me of this is not acceptable. They promised an alternative collection two days later, calling it a “special collection.” Yet again, this collection didn’t happen due to another sickness issue. Including the initial day arranged by Samsung where they claimed to have no drivers in my area, that makes three missed appointments. This was a massive inconvenience and a waste of my time.
2. **Unprofessional Handling:** When a technician finally arrived, he was alone and needed my partner’s help to carry our 65-inch TV out. The TV was not boxed or wrapped up; it was just loosely secured in the van with some rigs. This is not how you handle expensive, delicate electronics.
3. **Delays and Damage:** They failed to return the TV on the agreed day because their van broke down. When the TV was finally returned, it had scratches on the back that weren’t there before. This clearly shows a lack of care and proper handling. While they did manage to come to my house and replace the back of the TV, the initial damage and delays were unacceptable.
This entire ordeal has been a nightmare. I strongly advise against using ICTV-Uk for any repairs. Their service is unreliable, unprofessional, and careless.
Contacted Office (13/03) as my under guarantee TV was faulty and a repairman visited and on his assessment another visit was required. Contacted with less than 24 hours noticed with a 2 hour window for said repair and then contacted again 15 minutes before the end of said window saying they were 2+ hours behind schedule and wouldn’t be attending. Third planned visit again less than 24 hours notice and visit took place and decision was to take back the aTV for repair as couldn’t as first thought, be done in the home. Fourth text at 18.20 giving two hour window for next day received. Return text to say unable to be at that time as to short notice, however could be in after 3pm or all next day. These times declined and we were told we would be contacted by the office. No contact as yet. Phoned the office and as previous comments we also were kept on hold while being told we’re first in line after an extended period of time the phone remained unanswered.
Why it is considered good practice to text after 6pm to arrange next day visits and believe people can alter their working day is beyond me. Very disappointing service. I will say those who have attended have been professional and polite, however it doesn’t get my TV repaired or returned.
