I wouldn’t normally write a bad review, and always one for supporting small businesses, however I feel this is granted.
I got a new screen fitted on my iPhone 12 in January, a ‘premium screen’ that I paid PS130 for!
Once it was replaced my phone screen had a pink haze and was draining my battery so fast. I called to advise Alistair and he came out to my house and replaced the screen with another new one “as sometimes they are faulty” and cause a pink haze.
The 2nd replacement screen wasn’t much different and I put this down to being a non genuine Apple part. The battery continued to drain extremely fast, it wouldn’t even last until midday when it used to last all day. I actually questioned Alistair and asked if this could be down to the screen replacement, I was told this wasn’t anything to do with the new screen and was probably a hardware issue. However I noticed this straight after the screen was replaced, and thought it was odd that it would be a hardware issue.
For a couple of weeks after the screen was fitted I kept getting a notification on my phone to say the screen fitted was not compatible with my phone, I have had numerous screen replacements before and have never seen this notification. Alistair said this was just because it wasn’t a genuine Apple part and it only appears on phones ‘sometimes’.
I have put up with the battery draining for 6 months but cannot continue to take a charger with me everywhere I go. I have since went to another phone repair shop and got a new replacement screen for PS90 and a FREE screen protector. The shop advised it was an LCD fitted to my phone and it should have been an OLED. I have had the new screen for 2 hours and can already see a HUGE improvement in my battery life, with no pink haze and no notification advising the screen isn’t compatible.
I feel I was sold a ‘premium’ screen, which was the incorrect one for my phone, not forgetting all the rubbish I was told about the battery life being down to hardware and the notification being normal advising it was the wrong part for my phone.
When people like myself have very little knowledge of technology etc. we put a lot of trust in to places like this only to be disappointed further down the line. I would avoid this place. I feel I have wasted PS130 and a lot of electricity charging my phone!

Having used Alistair over the last couple of years i find him to be honest and reliable and someone who knows everything about mobiles just recently i had contacted Alistair about a problem with the home button on i phone We arranged a date and time for it to be booked it
On that day Alistair had a quick look at the phone and assured me everything was fine and it didn’t need a repair he didn’t even Charge me So i have no hesitation in recommending Alistair for any repairs I have used different repair guys previous and always had problems with them

Service from Alistair was outstanding. I phoned to get my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra screen replaced.
Alistair gave me an estimate for arrival of parts and fitting, however managed to get the new screen delivered and fitted three days early.
iHome have a professional home setup.
Alistair only charged PS25 to replace the screen plus parts cost. Outstanding value for money, highly recommended, will definitely revisit if any other phone needs attention.
