1. They never answer the telephone. I called several times and waited for almost an hour!! And they do not respond to SMS’s either!!
2. A confirmed (by Apple) replacement of a defective MacBookPro Charger still under guarantee. I offered to give the uninformed young man at the counter my Apple file number. He said it wouldn’t be necessary. Every legitimate authorized Apple dealer reports back to Apple using the file number. The rather uninformed young man then needed to show the defective charger still in its original box to his manager who is hiding somewhere in the basement. On his return back to the counter, the boy tells me that the god like manager decrees the charger is not under warranty. I explain that Apple has already confirmed that this product was well within the one year guarantee period and that with regular normal use no longer charges properly as I sent photos of it to Spple by email. This information is relayed to the god like manager who is seated somewhere in the basement, but the decree is the same: no replacement of charger!!! I take the defective product to another authorized Apple dealer who did ask for the file number and the defective charger was immediately replaced hassle free…and by the way their manager dealt with me directly.
So, I do not recommend Aldorande; not for their service and not for their professionalism as they off neither. How they can be considered an actual “authorized” dealer is beyond me.

The worst! I took my laptop there when the graphic card failed because of the famous chip problem. They changed it. The result was that albeit my laptop worked afterwards, it doesn’t go to sleep anymore when I close the lid. I took it back, they had a quick look (visual inspection of the case), smiled at each other and told me the motherboard probably has to be replaced! You can imagine that this costs hundreds of Euros! Not a chance!

Also, when I first went there with the graphic card problem, I bought from them a charger for my laptop. It has a really strange cable (doesn’t feel like the orignal, it’s far more stiff) and it charges my laptop only in a certain position. Every time I charge it, I have to mess around with that magnetic end so that a contact is made. When I mentioned that they just said “these are standard, it’s not our fault”.

MOREOVER! And this is VERY RELEVANT! When I brought my laptop to the real Apple store, they told me that Aldorande didn’t log the repairs in the Apple system, a thing which is compulsory for ANY Apple Approved shop! And… it gets better, the pieces they used were… “substandard”. No surprises there given the charger they sold me.

Stay away from these people!

Excellent repair work, knowledgeable professional friendly staff, but their policies are a bit frustrating. Here’s why: The first time I took my 2012 MacBook Pro was to replace the battery which took SEVEN days. I use my laptop for work every day and I asked them if I could pick up my laptop after the diagnostic and before the parts came in and they said no, not possible. I had no choice but to tell my clients I would be out of commission for one week. Not cool, but no choice. Ultimately the repair was well done and my laptop came back freshly cleaned and with a new, fully-charged battery. Because it’s impossible to get an appointment in the Apple stores I went back again to see about getting my speakers replaced, they told me no diagnostic was needed but 36 hours minimum. I asked if they could go ahead and order the parts and I would bring it back the next day. ‘Not possible.” I asked if I could prepay and they still told me ‘not possible.’ Ugh. If it weren’t for that I would give them 5 stars.
