I went there with my Huawei p30 pro with a SIM card problem, they told me they would do their diagnosis, and that is usually a common problem with this type of phone and would probably not take long to repair it. The next day they emailed me their diagnosis saying that “Liquid went in from the sim card reader at the bottom”. I found it strange that it was a liquid damage as I had NEVER dropped my phone in water or any other liquid, but I reasoned that because the back was cracked, maybe humidity could have gotten in and caused such damage. They proceed with telling me the rates for the repair and that it would take approximately 2 hours. I agreed to the repair and asked if I would be able to pick it up at the end of the day. They told me unfortunately no, and that they would email me when it would be ready. I contacted them again the next day and got no answer back. I contacted them again 4 days later and also did not get any answer. I went there in person and they told me they sent me emails, which I never received, the person which I have been taking to blamed the lack of emails on the store VPN and on the ice storm that knocked out power in many parts of the city. I asked for my phone back, and upon inspection I noticed that now the wifi, lantern, bluetooth and the SIM card also stop working as well. I was convinced to leave my phone there again by the guy who said to me that the problem now was actually at the top of the phone on some broken buses and it would take approximately 5 days to repair. After 5 days I emailed them again asking how the repair was going, which I got a message back 4 days later, saying that the repair was almost done, and that they found the issue and that they would attempt to repair on that day and would email me their results as soon as it was done. The next day went by and I received no email with their results. I finally decided one more day later to go to the store. They guy told me the repair was unsuccessful, I decided to sell it to him for parts which he offered me 100 bucks for the phone as is. I sold the phone and regretted ever taking it there in the first place.

In conclusion, they took 21 days with no results for their work and turned a working phone with only a SIM card problem, to an unusable phone with no Wifi, Bluetooth, Lantern, and SIM card.

You will probably see an excuse filled reply after this from Itronics but just go back and look at all of the other people who have given 1 star reviews and you will see the kind of company this is.

Since when do clients get disrespected with condensation? When did that become a thing? Ill spare the details because I’m sure this loser of an owner will write a 5000 word reply but avoid at all cost. Just know I disrespect who disrespects me so don’t try and twist your words in your reply

They were unable to fix my phone due to the part not showing up because of COVID (which truthfully is not their fault). However, no professional courtesy calls during the 3 months of holding on to my phone, no update, nothing unless I called. After the disrespectful phone conversation I had with the owner, I decided to pick up my phone which was completely disassembled because I rather give it to a professional company than to deal with this company for one more day. I brought it to uBreakIFix. They DONT charge anything for diagnostics. They have show REAL professionalism and at least know how talk to you with respect.

Itronics is the worse company I have ever dealt with and as I was referred to go to this store by TELUS, I have decided to purchase a new phone with another company just because I lost trust in their lousy referrals.

I was refunded my money however… it just seems that they don’t believe in FULL refunds (I paid 125+tx and received back $80 and some change) But before I acted out of character, I decided to take the loss and walk away.

Avoid at all costs and if you don’t believe me, read some of their own replies from people who have given them bad reviews.

First time I get my phone repaired so not sure of standards at other places.

Like and idiot, I had a cracked screen and got caught in the pouring rain and after that my phone was stuck on the reboot menu or wtv it is called.

Went there to get the screen changed and water damage fixed or wtv was having my phone stuck in the reboot menu.

They changed the screen and the colors are messed up, cashier saw it and said that’s normal (lol) but he did offer to keep the phone some more to fix it. I refused because without a phone I cannot work and I had lost enough money already.

A week later my phone suddenly shut off. Nothing on my end as far as I know caused it. I brought it back hoping there is some guarantee for there work. I had paid 65$ for software repair.

They took it for a free diagnosis and I came back 2 days later. They gave me my phone and said he just turned it on by holding the power button on the side. Phone worked for about 3 hours and now it off again, not starting up.

I asked on 2 different occasions what exactly he did as software repair but could never get an answer because the clerk won’t ask the person that worked on the phone.

So 300$ and i’m still at square 1. No point taking it back there…

Maybe I just got unlucky with them but that is my experience there.
