today I went in and placed my bag by the door to save the hassle of her checking because even though I never steal they will still try to check because I’m a teen, I put my bag down and for no reason she gave me and my friend the most disgusting attitude just because I put it on the wrong side and didn’t think to ask. I follow her order but told her that she didn’t have to be rude, then threatened me not to talk back as apparently I was the one bat chatting like I understand why to be more observant around teenagers as they are most likely to steal from stores, I understand that as I work in retail too and it occurs way too often, and I understand she has to do her job, but there is absolutely no reason for her to be that rude.
After I go to grab my bag and leave she tries to have a go at me and accuses me of stealing, she then provokes me by asking if I have taken anything when I clearly haven’t, empty pockets and no other bags but the one I left on the door, she then acts all nice to my other friends, and tries to act all innocent and tells my friends that I was harassing her when they know I did nothing but get yelled at, then tries to tell them that I am a bad influence on them and that they should abandon me, are you kidding me, an old women telling my friends I’m a bad person because I told her she was being rude, I was really just in shock and didn’t know how to react to her striving that low.
What makes this worse is that this is not even the first time she has yelled at me or accused me for things that really weren’t the case, my first ever encounter with her I bought a vinyl but was never given the receipt, as i approach the exit she rudely asks for the receipt, again i understand that’s her job we have the exact same at my job, i show her that i bought it on my banking details, the notification that i just bought it, and the email JB sent to my number for the receipt, she refused not just me but my older brother and uncle from leaving until we got the receipt which was super unnecessary as I had just shown her three different forms of proof that I bought it, after half an hour of the staff trying to retrieve the receipt they finally got it and showed it to her and finally let us out, there was those two situations plus another 3 incidents I have had with her, as mentioned i understand it is her job but there was no need to be rude and hassle me further, super unprofessional and unnecessary.
I speak on the behalf of a lot of people about how terrible this Women is to people. It is such a shame that one person ruins the whole experience of one of my favourite stores, I really hope JB fires this women as she clearly has no respect for the customers. Literally every other staff member at this JB are very respectful and the store is well organised, I do highly recommend this JB for whoever is reading this but unfortunately this review was made to make sure that action is taken against this awful lady, I hope to the viewer you don’t have to deal with her nasty attitude , other then that this really is a great JB.
I’m not sure if this is a vibe in the store. The staff I spoke there are so uptight. I asked a staff member where I could collect my online order, she seems annoyed (she wasn’t doing any just standing) but at least told me where with “you should know better” attitude. Even the guy who processed my orders was giving me bad vibes, throwing smart-as* comments with “I’m doing you a favour” attitude but later, he seemed to change his interaction with me becoming very polite. May be he’s a new guy trying to learn and a bit overwhelmed because he forgot give me my 1k+ order and luckily, I checked before I left the shop. He apologised sincerely but imagine if I found out an hour later and had to argue with them.
Overall, I did not feel welcome nor a customer in that store.
Best thing to do is go to the checkout counter and ask for help. Staff are friendly but just very busy.
Store is clean and organised aesthetically.
